as shown on the map thereof recorded in Book E of Maps at <br />page 77, records of San Mateo County, extended southeasterly <br />across said Maple Street, be improved as follows, to -wit: <br />1. That the existing concrete curb on the north- <br />westerly side of Maple Street between the production <br />northerly of the westerly line of Main Street across Maple <br />Street southwesterly to the northerly line of the right of <br />way of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company and thirty- <br />seven (37) linear feet of the existing concrete curb at <br />the southerly corner of the intersection of Main Street <br />with Maple Street and also that eighteen (18) linear <br />feet of the existing concrete curb on Maple Street at the <br />southerly corner of the termination of Lathrop Street at <br />Maple Street be removed. <br />2. That Maple Street for the full width of the <br />roadway and for the length hereinbefore described including <br />all intersections, terminations, opposite terminations or <br />portions thereof within the lines and limits of Maple Street <br />above described be graded and paved with hydraulic cement <br />concrete pavement six (6) inches thick laid upon a base of <br />broken stone three (3) inches thick after rolling, with a <br />cushion of sand one (1) inch thick laid between said broken <br />stone base and said concrete pavement; provided, however, <br />that said concrete pavement shall have a thickness of <br />eight (8) inches along the centerline of said Maple Street <br />and taper to a thickness of six (6) inches at points three <br />(3) feet on each side of said centerline. <br />There is excepted from the above described pavement <br />all that portion of Maple Street lying between a line two <br />(2) feet northeasterly from and parallel to the northeasterly <br />rail of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's tracks and <br />a line two (2) feet southwesterly from and parallel to the <br />most southwesterly rail of the Southern Pacific Railroad <br />Company's .tracks; Also there is excepted from the above <br />described pavement the area included between the northeasterly <br />and southwesterly lines of the concrete bridge on Maple <br />Street between the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's right <br />of way and Lathrop Street. <br />3. That hydraulic cement concrete curbs integral with <br />the pavement and six (6)'inches across the top and twelve <br />(12) inches deep be constructed on both sides of Maple Street <br />hereinbefore described including all corners of intersections, <br />terminations or opposite terminations or portions thereof <br />within the lines and limits of Maple Street as above <br />described; said hydraulic cement concrete curbs to be laid <br />upon a base of broken stone three (3) inches thick after <br />rolling with a cushion of sand one (1) inch thick laid <br />between said broken stone base and said concrete curb to be <br />built and constructed at the same time as the pavement. <br />There is excepted from the above described hydraulic <br />cement concrete curbs all curb now in place which has not <br />been ordered removed herein and also there is excepted from <br />the above described hydraulic cement concrete curb on both <br />sides of Maple Street between the northeasterly and south- <br />westerly right of way lines of the Southern Pacific Railroad <br />Company and there is also excepted from the above described <br />hydraulic cement concrete curbs the concrete bridge on Maple <br />Street between the Southern'Pacific Railroad Company's right <br />of way and Lathrop Street. <br />4. That hydraulic cement concrete sidewalks four (4) <br />inches thick and five (5) feet in width be constructed on <br />the northwesterly side of Maple Street between the production <br />in a straight line northwesterly of the end of the existing <br />gutter on Main. Street .southwesterly ''tb the northeasterly' <br />right of ',vay line of the Southern Pacific' Railroad C&ftpany.. <br />and from the southwesterly right of way line of the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad Company to the existing sidewalk at the <br />northeasterly side of the concrete bridge on said Maple Street <br />between the Southern Pacific Railroad Cbmpany's right of way <br />line and Lathrop Street, and from the southwesterly edge of the <br />existing sidewalk at the southwesterly line of said bridge <br />to the existing sidewalk at the production in a straight line <br />of the division line between lots one and two, block six, <br />Diller's Addition, hereinbefore referred to herein. <br />5. That two (2) hydraulic cement concrete storm water <br />inlets with cast iron frames and gratings be constructed, one <br />(1) on each side of Maple Street at the southerly end of the <br />hydraulic cement concrete pavement herein ordered constructed, <br />C <br />0 <br />it, <br />C1 <br />I <br />
