1. That all that portion of Chestnut Street herein described
<br />be improved by being graded and having constructed thereon a
<br />hydraulic cement concrete pavement six (6) inches thick laid
<br />upon a base of broken stone three (3) inches thick after rolling
<br />with a cushion of. sand one (1) inch thick laid between said broken
<br />stone base and said concrete pavement; provided however, that
<br />said cement concrete pavement shall have a thickness of eight
<br />(8) inches along each edge thereof nearest the center of said
<br />Chestnut Street and shall taper to a thickness of six (6) inches
<br />three (3) feet from each of said edges, as the same are shown
<br />on the plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifications
<br />prepared by the City Engineer of said City of Redwood City, and
<br />submitted this 7th day of April, 1930, be and they are hereby
<br />adopted as and for the plans, profiles, detailed drawings and
<br />specifications for doing said work and making said improvements.
<br />Reference is hereby made to the patent license agreement
<br />of McEverlast, Incorporated, dated the 12th day of October,
<br />1928, and now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City
<br />of Redwood City, and the sarre is made a part hereof.
<br />Reference is hereby made to the patent license agreement
<br />of Concrete Curing Inc. dated the 2nd day of December, 1929, and
<br />now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood
<br />City, and the same is made a part hereof.
<br />AND WHEREAS, The City Engineer of the City of Redwood City
<br />has submitted and filed with said plans, profiles, detailed
<br />drawings and specifications a map or plat shouting the assessment
<br />district of lands benefited by the work and improvements herein
<br />described' which map or plat is entitled "Map Showing Assessment
<br />District under Resolution of Intention No. M=6".
<br />AND WHEREAS, The map or plat showing said assessment district
<br />benefited by the work and improvements herein de6cribed has been
<br />examined by and is satisfactory to said Council.
<br />NOW THEREFORE, Be it further resolved by the Council of the
<br />City of Redwood City that the map or plat showing the assessment
<br />district benefited by the work and improvements herein described,
<br />which map or plat is entitled "Map Showing the Assessment District
<br />under Resolution of Intention No. M-6°, be and the same is hereby
<br />adopted and approved and said Council does hereby determine and
<br />declare that the foregoing described work and improvements are
<br />of more than local or ordinary ,public benefit and will affect
<br />and benefit the lands and district shown on the hereinbefore
<br />mentioned map or plat entitled "Map Showing Assessment District
<br />under Resolution of Intention No. M-6°, which district
<br />described and shown on said map or plat said Council hereby
<br />declares to be the district benefited by said work and improve-
<br />ments; and said Council further determines and declares that
<br />the entire costs and expenses of said work and improvements
<br />shall be and are hereby made chargeable against and shall be
<br />assessed upon said lands and distridt shown on said map or plat
<br />herein mentioned, which district is within the limits of the
<br />City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California.
<br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of
<br />Redwood City, that the official elevations for the street grades
<br />of said streets and avenues hereinbefore mentioned, crovm grades,
<br />curb grades and grade elevations for top of gutters be changed
<br />and grades different from those established or adopted prior
<br />to the adoption by the Council of said City of Redwood City
<br />of the plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifications
<br />adopted by this resolution shall be adopted, and such official
<br />and different and prior grades shall be modified and are hereby
<br />modified and changed so that the official grades shall be'and
<br />conform to the official grades as shown on said plans, profiles;
<br />detailed drawings and specifications adopted by this resolution,
<br />which plans, profiles, detailed drawings andspecifications are
<br />now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood
<br />City. All of the work and improvements herein described shall
<br />be done and made to the new official grades as shown on said
<br />plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifications adopted
<br />by this resolution, to which plans, profiles, detailed drawings
<br />and specifications reference is hereby made for a description
<br />of the grades at which said work is to be done and said improve-
<br />ments made and the same are made a part hereof. All grades
<br />between points as shown on said plans, profiles and detailed
<br />drawings shall be a straight line. All such grades and elevations
<br />herein established are in feet and decimals thereof above the
<br />City Base of the City of Redwood City.
<br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the width of the streets
<br />and avenues herein mentioned and described, and the width of
<br />the roadways of said streets and avenues, and the width of the
