REGULAR MEETING <br />REONOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPT. 150 1930. <br />8 PM <br />Upon roll call, the following were present: Councilman Mayor D R Stafford, H A Beeger, <br />W J Dusel, C J Hildebrant, E B Hinman, P A McCarthy, G W McNulty, and City Clerk <br />B E Myers. <br />Upon motion of Councilman Hinman, seconded ;by Councilman Dusel, the minutes of the <br />meeting held September 2, 1930, were approved. <br />A letter from the Citizens Park & Recreation Committee of the Redwood City Chamber of <br />Commerce was ordered f iled. <br />Upon motion of Councilman Hinman, seconded by Councilman MoNulty, the recommendation <br />of the City Manager that the permit granted to E. B. Paris for conducting a skating <br />rink at Foresterts Hall be revoked was approved. <br />The City Manager reported on bids received for the construction of reinforced concrete <br />retaining wall on Stafford Street at Cordilleras Crook stating that the bids 1&re <br />publicly opened, examined and declared and that Louis N. Pollar6 s bid of $1,645.27 <br />was the lowest and recommended that the contract be awarded to him: <br />PROPOSAL <br />TO THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, CAL <br />In compliance with the annexed notice <br />inviting sealed proposals, I hereby <br />propose and agree to perform the work <br />therein described and furnish the materials <br />therefor, in accordance with the plans and <br />specifications adopted therefor, and execute <br />the contract under the supervision and to the <br />satisfaction of the Superintendent of Streets <br />of the City of Redwood City, at the following <br />prices, to wit;- <br />ITEM 1. - For all EXCAVATION of whatever nature, at the price of <br />One Dollar ($1.00 ) Dollars per cubic yard. <br />ITEM 2. - For all FILLING or BACFt FILLING, at the price of <br />Sixty cents ( .60 ) Dollars per cubic yard. <br />} _ ITEM 3. - For all CEMENT CONCRETE, at the price of Thirteen dollars <br />and ninoty-five cents ($13.95 ) Dollars per cubic yard. <br />ITEM 4. - For all REINFORCING STEEL in place complete, at the price of <br />Three and eighty-six hundredths ($ .0386) Cents per pound. <br />ITEM 5. - For 2 inch galvanized steel pipe railing in place complete, <br />at the price of Two dollars and twenty cents ( 2.20 ) <br />Dollars per lineal foot of railing. <br />ITM 6. - For 12 inch galvanized corrugated IRON PIPE in place complete, <br />' at the price of One Dollar and twenty-five ($ 1.25) Dollars per lineal ft. <br />4 fi Name of Bidder LOUIS N.
