<br />Upon motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, the contract
<br />for this work was awarded to Louis N. Pollard.
<br />Upon motion of Councilman Hildebrant; seconded by Councilman Beeger, Al Markgraf was
<br />granted dance permits for September 13920 and 27, 1930.
<br />The application of L. V. Wallace for. license to operate a taxi was referred to the
<br />Chief of Police.
<br />A communication from the San Mateo County Fall Flower Festival Committee asking that
<br />someone from the ,Council be appointed to serve was referred to Mayor Stafford.
<br />Application of J. A. Martin of Redwood City for license to conduct the business of
<br />electrical contractor was granted, upon motion of Councilman: Dusel, seconded
<br />by Councilman Hildebrant.
<br />The ordinance regulating miniature golf courses came up for discussion and, upon
<br />motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, the affidavit
<br />of publication was ordered filed. Then, upon motion of Councilman Beeger,
<br />seconded by Councilman Dusel, this Ordinance was formally adopted. (For complete

<br />Upon motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Hildebrent, affidavits of
<br />publication and posting were ordered filed.
<br />There being no protests, Co}xncilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Beeger, offered
<br />resolution ordering the work as follows:
<br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK ON M-14.
<br />RESOLVED, THAT WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City
<br />did, on'the 25th day of August, 1930, pass and adopt Resolution of Inten-
<br />tion No. M-14 to order the hereinafter described work to be done and
<br />improvements to be made in said City of Redwood City; and
<br />. WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention
<br />No. M-14, headed 'NOTICES OF IMPROVENENT°, were duly and regularly posted
<br />along the line of said contemplated work and improvements and in front
<br />of all the property liable to be assessed therefor, and on all of the
<br />streets in the district to be assessed therefor, in time, form, manner
<br />and number as required by law, as appears from the affidavits of C•.L.
<br />Dimmitt, Superintendent of Streets of the City of Redwood City, and J.D.
<br />McCrea, and now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City; and
<br />WHEREAS, as appears from the affidavits of said C.L.Dimmitt and
<br />J.D. McCrea, hereinbefore referred to herein, that the posting of said
<br />notices of improvement as aforesaid was completed on the 4th day of
<br />September, 1930, and
<br />WHEREAS, in and by said Resolution of Intention No. M-14 and the
<br />notices of the passage thereof posted as aforesaid, said Council of the
<br />City of Redwood City fixed Monday, the 15th day of September, 1930, at
<br />the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. of said day, at the meeting place of said
<br />Council, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall on Webster Street in
<br />said City of Redwood City] County of San Mateo, State of California, as
<br />the day, hour and place when and where any and all persons having any
<br />objections to the proposed work and improvements described in said Resol-
<br />ution of Intention No. M-14, or to the district to be assessed for said
<br />work and improvements, or to the proposed grades at which said work and
<br />improvements are to be done and made, could appear before said Council
<br />and show cause why said proposed work and improvements should not be
<br />carried out in accordance with said Resolution of Intention No. M-14,
