9 <br />324 <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 20,1930 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />Upon roll call, the following were present: Councilmen H A Beeger, W J Dusel, C J Hildebrant, <br />E B Hinman, P A McCarthy, G W McNulty, and City Clerk B E Myers. Absent: Mayor D R Stafford. <br />In the absence of Mayor Stafford, Councilman Beeger was chosen to act as chairman of the <br />meeting. <br />Upon motion of Councilman MoCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the minutes of the meeting <br />held October 6, 1930, were approved. <br />Lee Ross representing the Associated Oil Company again asked that permission be granted <br />that Company to build a service station at the Bayshore Highway and Webster Street <br />in accordance with plans and specifications already submitted by the Company and <br />approved by the Planning Commission. The Building Inspector reported that the plans <br />and specifications met his approval. After considerable discussion, led in part by <br />Mr. Farrell who represented the protestants interested along the line of Fuller Street, <br />it was finally decided, upon motion of Councilman McLarthy, seconded by Councilman <br />Hinman, that the permit be granted with the understanding that no construction would <br />be made on the possible extension of Fuller Street until a further permit was obtained <br />from the Council. <br />In accordance with recommendation of the City Manager, contract for the furnishing of fence <br />at the new corporation yard was awarded to Hull Brothers, for the sutra of $707.34, in <br />detail as follows: <br />PROPOSAL. <br />TO THE COUNCIL <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, CAL. <br />In compliance with the annexed notice <br />inviting sealed proposals, WE hereby <br />propose and agree to perform the work <br />therein described and furnish the materials <br />therefor, in accordance with the plans and <br />specifications adopted therefor, and execute <br />the contract under the supervision and to the <br />satisfaction of the Superintendent of Streets <br />of said City, at the following prices; to -wit; - <br />ITEM 1. -For all fence, excepting gate openings, at the price of <br />ONE DOLLAR & SIXTY-FOUR CENTS (01.64) Dollars per lineal foot. <br />ITEM 2. -For one (1) twenty (20) foot gate, complete, the sum of <br />ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-THREE DOLLARS & SIXTY CENTS (0153.60) Dollars. <br />ITEM 3. -For one (1) twelve (12) foot gate, complete, the sum of <br />NINETY FIVE DOLLARS & SIXTEEN CENTS ($95.16) Dollars. <br />NOTE. -The above price for gates complete include in both <br />items, gate posts, all necessary bracing, and hinge and latch <br />attachments. <br />ITEM 4. -For all d-ea$-eepRe posts, the sum of eight dollars <br />and forty cents (78-.40) Dollars each.
