penalties as charged by the County Tax Collector. <br />The City Engineer submitted plans and specifications for the construction of a retaining <br />wall on Lathrop Street and upon motion of Councilman Dusel, seconded by Councilman <br />IvIoNulty, these plans and specifications were adopted. <br />Milton R. Hinds, secretary of the Redwood City Retailers Association, asked the Council <br />to appropriate X200.00 toward the $1000 necessary for the decorating of City streets <br />during the Christmas holidays and upon motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by <br />Councilman Hildebrant,ihe appropriation was allowed with the proviso that the people <br />responsible should clean up -the streets afterwards. <br />Councilman McCarthy spoke concerning the granting of a sixty day extension of time by the <br />Railroad Commission to the Pacific Gas & Electric Company in which to file their <br />schedule and -that a further extension of time had been granted. <br />Councilman Hinman spoke about the collecting of excessive charges in connection with the <br />water bills and mentioned in particular that of L. B. Winiger but no action was taken. <br />Councilman Dusel brought up the matter of charges for weed eradication and explained that <br />there were numerous complaints. The City Manager explained how these complaints would <br />be handled by having a representative of the Fire Department investigate and make <br />report. <br />Reports from the various departments were ordered received and filed, upon motion of Councilman <br />McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Beeger. <br />Upon motion of Councilman Hinman, seconded by Councilman Dusel; the approved claims were <br />ordered paid. <br />Adjournment. <br />DC <br />11 <br />d5.
