357 Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman Dusel, offered the following resolution approving diagram of assessment district under Resolution of Intention M-14 beigg lighting district along Broadway and Brewster Streets. RESOLUTION APPROVING DIAGRAM OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. M-14, AND DESIGNATING NFiftSPAPER. RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, that the diagram of the assessment dis- trict under Resolution of Intention No. M-14, passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 25th day of August, 1930, as said diagram has been prepared by C.L. Dimmitt, Street Superintendent of said City of Redwood City, and submitted this 19th day of January, 1931, be and the same is hereby adopted as the diagram of the assess- ment district for the work described in said Resolution of intention No. 1:2-14, which Resolution of intention No. M-14 is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the.City of Redwood City, and to which reference is hereby made for a description of the work herein referred to. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, that the Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper published, printed and circulated in said City of Redwood City,.be and the same is hereby designated,as the newspaper in which to publish the "Notice of Filing Street Assessment and of Time Fixed for Hearing Thereon" and the "Notice of Filing Unpaid Assessment List and of Time Fixed for Hearing Thereon" for the work done under said Resolution of Intention No. M-14 of said Council here- inabove referred to herein. I hereby approve the foregoing Resolution this 19th day of January, DANIEL R STAFFORD Mayor of the City of Redwood City Upon motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Beeger, there was introduced an ordinance covering the leasing of the old corporation yard to Geo. S. Greeley. In connection with the harbor dredging matter the City Manager was instructed to write a letter, to be signed by the Clerk, to the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County expressing the appreciation of the City for their cooperation in helping to raise 50% of the amount necessary to be provided by the City in addition to private contributions. At the request of the Pacific Portland Cement Company, upon motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman Hinman, the City Attorney was instructed to draw up a letter addressed to that Company in which the City, represented by its Mayor, would agree as a moral obligation to reimburse that Company for the $101,000 which it would advance toward the harbor dredging. The City Attorney.submitted an ordinance governing the use of bicycles and upon motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Hinman, the ordinance was formally introduced.
