<br />Councilman Hildebrant, offered the following Resolution confirming street assessment 11-14,
<br />Electroliers on Broadway and Brewster Streets:
<br />RESOLUTION CONFIRMING STREET ASSESSMENT NO. M-14
<br />WHEREAS, the assessment for street work done under that certain
<br />contract dated the 30th day of October, 1930, between the City Improvement
<br />Company,. a corporation, the party of the first part, and C.L. Dimmitt,
<br />as Superintendent of Streets of the City of Redwood City, party of the
<br />second part, for the doing of all street work mentioned and described
<br />-in resolution of Intention No. M-14, passed and adopted by the Council
<br />of the City of Redwood City on the 25th day of August, 1930, and now on
<br />file in the office of the Clerk of,said City, to which Resolution of
<br />intention reference is hereby made for a description of said work, was
<br />filed in the office of the Clerk of said City of Redwood City on the
<br />29th day of January, 1931; and
<br />WHEREAS, said City Clerk did thereupon fix Monday, the 16th day of
<br />February,, 1931, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. of said day, at the meet-
<br />ing place of the Council of the -City of Redwood City, in the Council.
<br />Chamber in the City Hall on Webster Street in said City, as the time and
<br />place of hearing on said assessment, as required by law, and as the time
<br />and place for making written objections thereto, as provided for in the
<br />Improvement Aot of 1911; and
<br />WHEREAS, notice of the filing of said assessment and of the time
<br />fixed for hearing thereon was duly given by posting, publishing and mail-
<br />ing, as required by law, as appears from the affidavits of B.E. Myers and
<br />D. Heydenfeldt, now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City of
<br />Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS, at the time and place last herein mentioned, no objec-
<br />tions of any kind were made against said assessment, and
<br />WHEREAS, said Council of the City of Redwood City has now acquired
<br />jurisdiction thereon;
<br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood
<br />_.City, County of San Mateo, State of California, that the assessment
<br />above mentioned for street work done under Resolution of Intention No.
<br />M-14 hereinbefore referred to herein be and the same is hereby approved
<br />and adopted, and the Superintendent of Streets of said City of Redwood
<br />City is hereby directed to attaoh a warrant thereto and deliver same to
<br />the contractor, as required by law.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at
<br />a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of February, 1931, by
<br />the following vote:

<br />Ordinance No. 322, which is an ordinance amending, Ordinance No. 306, regulating and
<br />licensing motor basely was upon motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman
<br />Dusel, introbded t)ie second tAme and upon roll call was unanimously carried.
<br />The City Manager submitted to the Council a request from the City Collector to cancel
<br />certain uncolleotible watet accounts. After considering the entire list, it was
<br />agreed to cancel all but those on which notations were made as to the possibility
