E <br />I <br />L1 <br />u <br />submit his report at once. <br />Upon motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, the ordinance fixing the <br />amount of money to be raised and the tax rates for the levying and collecting of taxes <br />for the ensuing year was introduced. <br />There was considerable discussion about having an election in September for the $65,000 <br />bond project for parks and recreational centers but no action was taken. <br />The City Manager explained about the peculiar and excessive water bill charged to Carl <br />Fisher on Arch Street showing that the charge of some $60.00 would require almost a <br />continuous running of the faucet for 20 days. Mr. Dimmitt said he was unable to <br />account for the large consumption of water after a thorough investigation. Finally, <br />t <br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Lambert, moved to allow Mr. Fisher 050.00 <br />on the bill. Carried. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, the City Clerk and <br />Treasurer was given permission to leave the State on his vacation. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, it was moved and <br />carried that all applications for adjustment of water bills, which cannot be handled <br />by the City Collector, be referred to a committee consisting of the Chairman of <br />Public Utilities, the City Manager and the Superintendent of the Water Department <br />with power to make whatever adjustments they feel appropriate. <br />The approved bills were ordered paid, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by <br />DCD <br />Councilman Hildebrant. <br />3 <br />City Clerks I <br />.eJ <br />2 <br />
