Moved by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Lambert, that the application of Joseph <br />Turek for a junk license be granted. Carried. <br />Letter from T.S. Karp relative to pigeons flying at large in the Highlands, was read, and on <br />motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, and carried, the Building <br />Inspectorwas directed to see the owner and request him to remove or confine the pigeons <br />in sanitary quarters. <br />Letter of thanks from the San Mateo County Horse Show Association was received and ordered filed. <br />Letter from the San Mateo County Fall Festival was received and on motion of Councilman McCarthy, <br />seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, ordered filed. <br />Affidavit of publication of ordinance No. 329 was on motion of Councilman Dusel filed. <br />Ordinance No. 329 was presented and adopted on motion of Councilman Iiildebrant, seconded by <br />Councilman Dusel, by unanimous vote of all Councilmen present. <br />Resolution fixing tax rate for the fiscal year 1931-1932 was presented and on motion of Councilman <br />]McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, carried by the vote of all Councilmen present. <br />Affidavit of publication of notice of filing amended assessment on Lot 38, Block 14, Central Park, <br />was on notion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Lambert, filed. <br />There being no protests against the amended assessment, on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded <br />by Councilman Hildebrant, and carried, said amended assessment was confirmed. <br />On motion of Councilman Lambert, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, and carried, the license fee <br />for the picture to be given by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, was waived. <br />Mr. Jones of the Greater South Redwood Improvement Club spoke about the condition of shoulders <br />on the '1Toodside Road and on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty and <br />carried, the City Manager was directed to make written and oral application to the County <br />of San Mateo to contribute a sufficient amount of money to put oil shoulders on the Woodside <br />Road within the city limits. <br />After considerable discussion relative to the penalties now applying on delinquent water bills, <br />it was moved by Councilman McCarthy, and seconded by Councilman Lambert, and carried, that <br />penalties on water bills be not enforced until further order from the Council. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Dusel, and carried, the City Engineer <br />was directed to purchase necessary pipe and hydrants and make necessary installations as <br />submitted by him. <br />IMoved by Councilman McNulty and seconded by Councilman Dusel, and carried, that all claims <br />presented be paid. <br />Moved by Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman Dusel and carried, reports redeived be <br />filed. <br />There being no further business the Council adjourned. <br />City Clerk Pro -Tem IPA - <br />425 <br />
