1 <br />HI <br />r <br />The City Manager was instructed to get a formal report from the City Attorney concerning <br />the progress made in connection with the delinquent improvement assessments under <br />the 1915 Act. <br />Mayor Stafford explained the working of the County Committee for unemployment and asked <br />the attitude of the Councilmen. On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by <br />Councilman Dusel, the Mayor was authorized to select and call a citizens committee <br />to undertake the working out of some plan to relieve conditions due to unemployment <br />duringthe winter. <br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Lambert, offered resolution accepting easement <br />from the Beeger Tanning Company for a 5 foot strip of land from Lathrop to Maple <br />Streets. Carried unanimoualy. <br />On motion of Councilmen Dusel, seconded by Councilman Beeger, the approved claims were <br />ordered paid. <br />W.W. Hendricks asked permission for the American Legion to place a banner over the <br />Highway below Five Points to advertise a charity entertainment. He was granted <br />permission to place the banner, on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by <br />Councilman Dusel. <br />Adjournment. <br />DOD <br />I <br />City <br />431 <br />
