I <br />Precincts) was introduced. <br />The City Manager reported that Leonard & Dolt had paid $250 on their water account <br />and had also turned over to the City deed for the Ely one—half of Lot 16, <br />Block 2, Jefferson Acres. and that the amount which would have been due from the <br />Hudson Street Extension proceedings in payment for this property should be <br />applied on the balance of their slater account after all payments for taxes, <br />street assessments, etc., had been deducted. <br />A communication from James S. James, concerning proposal of the County Planning <br />Commission referring to the Bayshore Highway, was referred to the City Planning <br />Commission, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Beeger. <br />The Masonic Club was given permit to hold a dance until one --o'clock, December 31st. <br />Councilman McCarthy discussed the gas e,—,plosion which occurred in Berkeley and <br />wanted to know if there was any arrangement with the Pacific Gas & Electric <br />Company about h:vir_g shut—off valves outside buildings. On motion of <br />Councilman McCartby, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Building Inspector <br />was instructed to investigate this, tare it up with the Pacific Gas & Electric <br />Company and report back at the next meeting. <br />Emmett Donnelly., Secretary of the Citizens Unemployment Fund Committee, made request <br />of the Council for a donation of $1,000. The letter was received and filed. <br />Councilman McCarthy spoke ebout the possible readjustment of property values before <br />the next assessment time but as this matter was too complicated to be settled <br />at the time, it was laid over until the next meeting. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by <br />Councilman Dusel. <br />Adjournment. <br />DOD <br />4.4. <br />B.
