0 <br />I <br />Health Officer Drathman reported that he had cnecked up on the question of having a shut-off <br />valve outside buildings in connection with gas installations and stated that the valves <br />were used in connection with business houses, apartment houses and hotels but notin <br />residences and suggested that an outside valve could be arrange with very little <br />inconvenience in connection with residences if desired. The Clerk was instructed to <br />write to the City of 'Berkeley to request a copy of its ordinance covering this subject. <br />The City Attorney presented resolution accepting deed from C.H. Holt and Wife for the Easterly <br />one-half of Lot 16, B1onk 2, Jefferson Acres, which resolution, on motion of Councilman <br />Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman Beeger, was unanimously passed. <br />Councilman McCarthy discussed briefly the street lig,.ts at Broadway and the HAghway; inquired <br />concerning the status of the water account with Leonard & Holt; and also what had best <br />be done concerning the adjustment of property valuations. Concerning the last named, <br />on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded,by Councilman McNulty, a committee consisting <br />of Mayor Stafford and Councilmen Lwbert and Dusel was to confer with the City Tax Collector <br />regarding this matter and report back at the next meeting. <br />Various departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman <br />Hildebrant. <br />Adjournment. <br />BE;.l:DCD <br />B .
