W. <br />Councilman McCarthy again brought before the Council for discussion the reconsideration <br />of the proposal to place on the ballot at the election in April the question of <br />'issuing bonds for the new library. The Councilmen, who before had voted definitely <br />against the proposal, signified their willingness to*cooperate in the matter and to <br />let the voters decide concerning the library issue. Councilman McCarthy, seconded by <br />Councilman Lambert, moved that the question of issuing 20 year bonds in the amount <br />of $60,000 for the constructing, furnishitg and equipping of a new library be placed <br />on the ballot with the understanding that the bonds be advertised as bearing 6% interest <br />but that bidders be encouraged to figure at a lower rate. Carried. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilmen <br />Hildebrant. <br />Adjournment to 7:30 p.m., February 29th. <br />`11617 <br />1 <br />
