458 1 MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL MARCH 21, 1932 7:30 P M Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor D R Stafford, H A Beeger, W J_Dusel, C G Lambert, Paul A McCarthy, Geo W McNulty. City Clerk B E Myers. Absent: Councilman C.J. Hildebrant. i 111 The minutes of the meetings of March 7 and.March 14 were approved, on motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Dusel. There was read a letter from Wm. J. Locke, former.Secretary-Treasurer and Manager of the League of California Municipalities, referring to his being discharged from the position and some of the circumstances incident to it. No action was taken and the letter was ordered.filed. The request of the Southern Pacific Company concerning a parcel of land along Pennsylvania Avenue at the foot of Hamilton Street was brought up again and continued with the idea that the City Manager would follow up the matter by seeing Hare, Brewer and Clark and ascertaining their contemplated action. Jos. Casaretto complained before the Council concerning the flood conditions in and about his premises and the City Manager was instructed to take up again this situation with the idea of bringing in an estimate of what it would cost to extend the storm sewer to take care of this flooded condition. Councilman McCarthy reported concerning an interview with Mr. W.W. Carson, the owner of the property in the foothills southwest of the end of Vera Avenue desired for the purposes of a reservoir site, and that Mr. Carson did not seem amenable to any price proposition the !^' Council was ready to make. Accordingly the City Attorney had prepared a resolution instituting condemnation proceedings for certain described property, which resolution was offered by Councilman Dusel, seconded by Councilman McNulty anduianimously passed. The approved claims were ordered paid, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman McCarthy. Adjournment. DCD 0
