458 1 <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 21, 1932 <br />7:30 P M <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor D R Stafford, H A Beeger, W J_Dusel, <br />C G Lambert, Paul A McCarthy, Geo W McNulty. City Clerk B E Myers. Absent: Councilman C.J. <br />Hildebrant. i 111 <br />The minutes of the meetings of March 7 and.March 14 were approved, on motion of Councilman Beeger, <br />seconded by Councilman Dusel. <br />There was read a letter from Wm. J. Locke, former.Secretary-Treasurer and Manager of the League of <br />California Municipalities, referring to his being discharged from the position and some of the <br />circumstances incident to it. No action was taken and the letter was ordered.filed. <br />The request of the Southern Pacific Company concerning a parcel of land along Pennsylvania Avenue <br />at the foot of Hamilton Street was brought up again and continued with the idea that the City <br />Manager would follow up the matter by seeing Hare, Brewer and Clark and ascertaining their <br />contemplated action. <br />Jos. Casaretto complained before the Council concerning the flood conditions in and about his <br />premises and the City Manager was instructed to take up again this situation with the idea <br />of bringing in an estimate of what it would cost to extend the storm sewer to take care of <br />this flooded condition. <br />Councilman McCarthy reported concerning an interview with Mr. W.W. Carson, the owner of the <br />property in the foothills southwest of the end of Vera Avenue desired for the purposes of a <br />reservoir site, and that Mr. Carson did not seem amenable to any price proposition the !^' <br />Council was ready to make. Accordingly the City Attorney had prepared a resolution <br />instituting condemnation proceedings for certain described property, which resolution was <br />offered by Councilman Dusel, seconded by Councilman McNulty anduianimously passed. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman <br />McCarthy. <br />Adjournment. <br />DCD <br />0 <br />
