1 <br />0 <br />0 <br />C <br />M <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, there was introduced <br />the tax ordinance fixing the amount of money to be raised during the ensuing year <br />for the expense of operating the City Government including the redemption of bonds <br />and the payment of interest and the operating expense of the Library. <br />Approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman <br />Jones. <br />Adjournment. <br />i e, /-�� <br />City <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTETmER 6, 1932 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor W. J. Dusel, H. A. Beeger, R. N. <br />Jones, C. J. Hildebrant, C. G. Lambert, Paul A. McCartby, Geo. W. McNulty, City Clerk, B. E. <br />Myers. Absent: None. <br />Minutes of August 15 were approved on motion of Councilman Lambert and seconded by Councilman <br />McNulty. <br />R. � Bruce, plumber, sent in a letter, and also appeared before the Council, concerning the <br />renewal of his license, and asked some concession in regard to the stipulation for having <br />an established place of business. The Council evidenced its desire to cooperate with him, <br />but did not wish to act contrary to the ordinance. Councilman Lambert finally suggested <br />that if Mr. Bruce would see him, possibly some arrangements could be made by which an <br />established place could be had where the rent would be nominal. <br />A letter from W. H. Christie, Mayor of Emeryville, concerning reorganization of the League of <br />California Municipalities was referred to the Mayor. <br />Affidavit of publishing Ordinance #337 fixing the amount of money to be raised by taxation was <br />ordered filed. On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Beeger, Ordinance <br />#337, fixing the amount of money to be raised by taxation was formally adopted. Complete <br />text will be found in ordinance Book No. 3, page <br />Henry Tribolet asked the Council to grant to Belize Bliss permit to conduct dances in the <br />Foresters Hall each Wednesday night from 8:30 to 12. On motion of Councilman Beeger, <br />seconded by Councilman McNulty, a permit was granted subject to payment of the customary <br />$2.50 license. <br />477 <br />
