<br />Walter Lynch, of the Lion's Club, representing one of the teams playing on the soft baseball
<br />diamond, suggested that the Council arrange to have a representative meet with the League s
<br />committee to arrange schedules so that there need be no conflicts. Councilman Eva was

<br />appointed to work with the committee. i
<br />The City Manager submitted a revised estimate of charges for water under the soon -to -be -effec-
<br />tive mixture of San Francisco water with the local supply, and his recommendations were
<br />approved on motion of Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman McNulty.
<br />1n view of the request of the Etna Surety Company that proper insurance be carried covering
<br />collateral left with the Treasurer by banks, and that bonds owned by the City also be
<br />properly covered, the Treasurer was authorized to have the City insurance carrier arrange t
<br />to issue Burglary and Robbery Insurance on all securities in the hands of the Treasurer

<br />up to $120,000, on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty.

<br />Action on the adoption of the Uniform Building Code, as suggested in the previous meeting,
<br />was continued to the next meeting.
<br />A letter from E. C. Stewart, Stockton, was submitted in which Mr. Stewart made certain demands
<br />regarding the payment of 1915 Bonds and interest. Considerable discussion ensued relative
<br />to the beat way to meet the situation. Finally, Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Council-
<br />man McNulty, moved that the Attorney be instructed to make reply to Mr. Stewart's letter
<br />and tell Mr. Stewart that his demands for payment of interest and bonds, both delinquent
<br />c
<br />and maturing July 2, ?935, would be met not later than the middle of July, with specific j
<br />direction to the Attorney that the total should not exceed $7,000. Councilman Eva, F
<br />seconded by Councilman Fletcher, moved amendment to the motion, directing the Attorney
<br />to prepare the necessary data as to delinquencies and owners of each lot, in an effort
<br />to obtain payment, or part payment, of delinquencies, to get Quit Claim Deeds, or to
<br />f
<br />make other adjustments. The amendment to the motion carried. The original motion
<br />carried, with Mayor Lambert voting "Noll.
<br />Councilman McCarthy moved, seconded by Councilman Eva, that the Treasurer be directed to obtain
<br />the name of the owners of all bonds and coupons before making payment. Motion carried,
<br />over the protest of the Treasurer.
<br />-Upon the suggestion of Councilman Eva, the Clerk was directed to write to Joseph Dickdy about
<br />the prevalence of mosquitos in Redwood City.
<br />Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Eva, suggested that the Council convey to Assemblyman
<br />Peterson its appreciation of the work he had done in connection with having the Woodside h

<br />Road adopted as apart of the secondary highway system and also that Senator Packman be
