M <br />MINUTES Or REGULAR MEETING <br />RMWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 5,, 1936 <br />g:00 P. M. <br />"Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor, Paul A. McCarthy, L. C. � <br />t <br />Christensen, J. M. Eva, E. A. Fletcher, Nm. Hohn, R; N. Jones, G. W. McNulty and ?' <br />City Clerk, B. E. Myers. Absent: None, <br />1 <br />The minutes of the meeting of September 21, 1936, were approved as mailed, on motion <br />of Councilman Hahn, seconded by Councilman Jones. <br />On motion of Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Eva, there was introduced Ordi- <br />nance providing that no dance shall be held in the same room where liquor is sold. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Jones, there was introduced <br />R Gas Fitters' License Ordinance providing for a fee of $25.00. <br />On motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman Jones, there was introduced Ordinance <br />r <br />regulating the use of paper decorations in public buildings. <br />There was read a letter from the San Mateo Lodge of Elks, asking that the City cooperate <br />with other organizations to observe by appropriate ceremonies reverence and honor <br />to the United States Flag. The Clerk was asked to acknowledge the letter. <br />The Building Inspector presented for the consideration of the Council, plans for a small <br />house to be erected on Madison Avenue, between El Camino Real and Adams Street, at <br />an expected cost of some $900. The question arose as to whether or not a building <br />of this cost should be erected at that location and the Council went on record as <br />denying the application, and the Building Inspector was so instructed. <br />Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman Hohn, presented and proposed the adoption of <br />resolutions instructing the City Attorney to foreclose on certain properties for <br />delinquent street assessments. Carried. <br />The departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid, on motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Council- <br />man McNulty. <br />Adjournment to Tuesday, October 13, at S o'clock p.m. <br />" City Clerk <br />BEM:MR <br />I <br />3 <br />
