<br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor, Paul A. McCarthy, L. C.
<br />Christensen, J. M. Eva, E. A. Fletcher, R. N. Jones, G. W. McNulty and City Clerk,
<br />B. E. Myers. Absent: Councilmen Wm. Hohn.
<br />The minutes of the meeting of November 2, 1936, were approved on motion of Councilman
<br />Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Eva.

<br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the license department
<br />was given instructions to issue to war veterans' organizations only, dance licenses
<br />�Ifor dances to be held in the Veterans Building, permitting the sale of beer only,
<br />II provided the beer is not sold in the same room where the dancing takes place.

<br />On motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, it was decided to subscribe
<br />for four rehabilitation debentures at $25.00 each, issued by the'City of Bandon,

<br />Oregon, in an effort to assist the City in its rehabilitation work. The debentures
<br />are to bear 12%0 interest and to be redeemed "sometime in the future".
<br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen, the Paddleford Used
<br />Car Agency, at the corner of E1 Camino Real and James Street, was given permission
<br />to erect a small steel office building on the lot, which permission would expire
<br />l`
<br />May 1, 1937. This, on recommendation of the Planning Commission.

<br />Norman S. Menifee, on behalf of his clients, Robert Hawkes, a minor, and Harold S. Hawkes,
<br />his father, filed claim against 'the City of Redwood City for $15,000, plus $600
<br />medical expenses, because of injury received when, according to his claim, Eugene
<br />r�Plecq and John Isidor, driving and operating a city truck, injured Robert Hawkes.
<br />On motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Jones, the claim was
<br />rejected.
<br />A.'B. Cheatham, a member of the Port Advisory Committee, emphasized the d§sirability of
