254 <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 29, 1936 <br />9:00 0'"Clock p.k. <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present:' Mayor Paul A. McCarthy, <br />1\ <br />L. C. Christensen, J. M. Eva, E. A. Pletcher, Wm. Hohn, R. AT. Jones, G. W. <br />McNulty and City Clerk", B. E. Myers. Absent: None. <br />The meeting was called for the purpose of further consideration of the annexation <br />of certain properties, specifically the Pacific Portland Cement Company pro- <br />perty, for the purpose of port control. L. B. Grolzinger appeared for the <br />Pacific Portland Cement Company, and members of the Port Advisory Committee <br />also spoke, indicating a diversity of opinion as to what ought to be done. <br />It was finally dedided, on motion of Councilman Pletcher, seconded by <br />Councilman Eva, that a telegram be sent to P.W.A. requesting a 90 day ex- <br />tension of time, with the understanding that.Mayor McCarthy would consult <br />P.W.A. officials in San Francisco before sending the telegram. <br />On motion of Councilman Pletcher, seconded by Councilman Eva, the Clerk was <br />asked to notify all prospective bond bidders that the date for accepting <br />bids on the harbor bonds had been postponed to January 11. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEM: MR <br />P, E �\ <br />City Clerk <br />LA <br />1 <br />1 <br />i <br />
