Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, proposed the adoption of the following <br />resolution opposing Senate Bill No. 689, provided the City Manager's conversation <br />with the Stockton Port people justified it. Carried. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Redwood City, California, <br />that for and on behalf of the citizens of Redwood City, it is definitely <br />opposed to the passage of Senate Bill No. 689 amending certain sections <br />of the Public Utility Act, and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be for- <br />warded to -our Senator and Representative, with the request that they <br />prevent the passage of said Senate Bill No. 659. <br />The Mayor was instructed to appear before the County Board of Supervisors for the purpose <br />of asking from that Board a contribution of approximately $35,000 toward harbor de- <br />velopment. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEM: MR <br />i E. <br />City <br />D <br />i� <br />
