i 296 <br />i <br />1 <br />i <br />i <br />Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman McNulty, proposed adoption of resolution <br />accepting Deed from E. W. and Florence W. Magruder for a 5 ft. strip of land f <br />in connection with Resolution of Intention 29-5, extension of Hudson Street. Berried - �7 <br />The City Manager was asked to investigate the cost and the feasibility of installing <br />a blinking light at the southwest corner of Broadway and Main Street. <br />Councilman Fletcher brought up before the Council for consideration the candidacy of <br />the City Clerk and Treasurer for the Board of Trustees of the Sequoia Union <br />High School District, indicating that he did not wish the impression to be <br />held that the City Council was sponsoring such candidacy. No action was taken. <br />Floyd Granger, for the United Veterans Council, asked the Council to request all <br />merchants to close their places of business on Memorial Day between the hours <br />of 10 a. m. and 12 m. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by <br />Councilman Fletcher. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEM:HAS <br />City Clerk <br />r <br />0 <br />
