304 <br />After filing affidavit of publication, Ordinance,PTo. 395 regulating the enlargement, <br />alteration, or repair of frame or wooden buildings in the fire district was <br />unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />After filing affidavit of publication, Ordinance ITo. 394 approving the annexation of <br />the Redwood City Harbor district to the City of Redwood City was unanimously <br />adopted on motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman Christensen. <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen_, proposed the adoption of <br />resolution accepting indenture from the Palpar, Inc., a corporation, covering <br />certain water system equipment. Carried. <br />Councilman Fletcher asked about sidewalks on James Avenue, and it was decided to <br />take this matter up at the next meeting. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen, and carried, <br />it was decided that all employees of the City of Redwood City not only be bona <br />fide residents of the City, but that before their employment they shall have <br />resided in Redwood City for at least one year. <br />The Clerk was instructed to write to Governor Merriman and ask him to sign Assembly <br />Bills 2392 and 1559• <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Eva, it was decided to charge <br />$5.00 for the use, by other than city departments, of the Fire House Auditorium, <br />this amount to cover the cost of janitor service. <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen, urged that the Council <br />recognize the bereavement of Mrs. Jones in the loss of her mother and that <br />flowers and a suitable note of condolence be sent to Mrs. Jones. Carried. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty and Councilman <br />Fletcher. <br />On motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Council adjourned <br />to Jure 29 at 7:30 p. m. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEM:HAS <br />� . 6. 2 <br />City Clerk <br />0 <br />
