300 <br />s <br />It was decided on motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that the <br />City appropriate $10,000 for the purpose of developing port facilities and to <br />provide additional port facilities. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hohn, the following claims <br />were approved, Nos. 2498, and 2574' to 2577 inclusive. M. <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Magor Paul A. McCarthy, <br />Councilmen L. C. Christensen, J. M. Eva, E. A. Fletcher, R. N. Jones, Wm. <br />Hohn, and G. W. McNulty, and City Clerk, B. E. Myers. 1. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of June 21 and special meeting of June 29 were <br />approved on motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Hohn. <br />A petition was filed by seven interested property owners asking the Council to <br />start proceedings to grade and pave Hillview Avenue between Brewster and <br />Hopkins Avenues. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman <br />McNulty, the City Engineer was instructed to take the necessary steps to <br />initiate appropriate proceedings to have the work done provided there would <br />be at least two contractors willing to bid for the work and accept 1911 Act <br />bonds in payment for unpaid balances. <br />The committee made a partial report concerning fire restrictions. <br />Magor McCarthy filed a report for the committee on bus transportation. While con- <br />siderable discussion ensued, no definite action was taken; and the matter was <br />laid over until the next meeting. <br />After filing Affidavit of Publication, Ordinance 396, amending Ordinance 307 <br />regulating the keeping and running at large of animals and fowls in Redwood <br />City,was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Pletcher, seconded by <br />Councilman Hohn.
