A. Thorsen of San Carlos, wished permission to install what he called an all steel dining <br />car about nine feet wide and thirty feet in length on the easterly side,of the highway <br />between Brewster and Broadway. On motion of Councilman Eva, seconded. by Councilman <br />Fletcher, the matter was referred to the City Manager and the Building Inspector to work <br />out some agreement, if possible, with Mr. Thorsen, and if a satisfactory agreement were <br />worked out, that the permit be granted with the understanding'that the technical require— <br />ments.of the ordinance for that region would be waived. <br />The City Attorney reported concerning the crossing hearing held at San Carlos. He indicated <br />that considerable discussion had taken puce, but that nothing definite had been done <br />except that a postponed hearing had been agreed upon for October 18. He suggested that <br />Redwood City make an independent count for the streets in question because the other <br />count of 'traffic had been made in February, which might not be considered a represen— <br />tative month.
