i
M
laid over until the neat meeting, with the idea -that Mr. Brown would confer with the
Building Inspector in an effort.to make some adjuatment whereby the construction could
be made to come within the terms of the City Ordinance.
E. A. Thorsen of San Carlos, wished permission to install what he called an all steel dining
car about nine feet wide and thirty feet in length on the easterly side,of the highway
between Brewster and Broadway. On motion of Councilman Eva, seconded. by Councilman
Fletcher, the matter was referred to the City Manager and the Building Inspector to work
out some agreement, if possible, with Mr. Thorsen, and if a satisfactory agreement were
worked out, that the permit be granted with the understanding'that the technical require—
ments.of the ordinance for that region would be waived.
The City Attorney reported concerning the crossing hearing held at San Carlos. He indicated
that considerable discussion had taken puce, but that nothing definite had been done
except that a postponed hearing had been agreed upon for October 18. He suggested that
Redwood City make an independent count for the streets in question because the other
count of 'traffic had been made in February, which might not be considered a represen—
tative month. Councilman Eva thought that perhaps in connection with his work in school,
he might arrange to make such a count and the matter was left up to him and the City
Manager.
The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman
Christensen.
Adjournment.
1
City Clerk
W
rARTM
LW U.1
WhIj
