<br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
<br />RElAY00D CITY COUNCIL
<br />FEBRUARY 5, 1940
<br />8:00 P. M.
<br />Upon roll call the following councilmen were present: H.F. Anderson, E.A.
<br />Fletcher, R. N. Jones, P. A. McCarthy, G. W. McNulty, Mayor L. C. _
<br />Christensen, and City Clerk B. E. Myers; absent, Councilman Wm. Hohn.
<br />The minutes of the regular meeting of January 15 and adjourned regular
<br />meetings of January 22 and January 29 were approved on motion of
<br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McCarthy.
<br />The City Tax Collector submitted letters asking authorization to make sale
<br />of the following lots with installment payments running for more than
<br />twelve months, it being understood that the prices were in line and
<br />that the down payment complied with minimum requirements. Authoriza-
<br />tion given on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman
<br />Anderson.

<br />Lots 3 and 4, Block 2, Homestead Addition No. 2
<br />Lots 5 and 6, Block 2, Homestead Addition No. 2

<br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, proposed adoption of _
<br />Ordinance 435 zoning certain property and changing set back lines on
<br />Willow Street and Manzanita Street. Carried.
<br />C. G. Lambert discussed with the Council the possibility of moving to the
<br />rear of the lot at 266 Hillview the small building, now being used as
<br />a residence, for the purpose of constructing a new dwelling at the
<br />front of the lot. No action was taken as the Council desired to view
<br />the premises before making decision.
<br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by CouncilmanMcNulty, the City
<br />Attorney was instructed to draft an ordinance amending the present
<br />license ordinance in line with the recommendations submitted by the
<br />license committee, headed by Councilman McCarthy, with the understand-
<br />ing, also, that it was desirable to include in the ordinance that busi-
<br />ness houses be closed on regular holidays, or at least part of the day
<br />of such holidays.
<br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, there was
<br />adopted resolutions accepting quit claim deeds for property listed below.
