McNulty. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of June 3 were approved on motion of Council- <br />man Granger, seconded by Councilman Werder. <br />T. Louis Chess, Vice -Chairman of the Advisory Board of the California Safety <br />Council, in a commendatory talk, presented to the City a "Citation" for <br />the city's outstanding achievement in traffic accident prevention during <br />1939• Mayor Anderson thanked him and expressed the appreciation of the <br />Council. <br />Mrs. Rose Larkin was present and also represented by her attorney, Wayne Milling- <br />ton; she submitted letter protesting against the alleged unauthorized and <br />illegal building on the part of the Sadler Supply Company, 1550 El Camino <br />Real. Mr. Sadler said he had been given permission to locate the building <br />where it was being constructed, and the minutes of September 5, 1939, in- <br />dicated that permit had been given to extend "a building to the rear." <br />However, it was decided, on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Council- <br />man Edmonds, that the City Manager, the Fire Chief, and the Building Inspector <br />
