Claims, numbers 63.2 to 6352 inclusive, total $5592.79 were upon motion of <br />Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen, and carried, <br />ordered paid. <br />Mr. Vern Kelly requested another dance permit the same as he had secured last <br />year for his place of business on Broadway, and on motion of Councilman <br />McNulty, seconded by Councilman Granger, said permit was granted for <br />the period of one year. <br />Adjournment. <br />n <br />LCC:HAS Clerk pro tem Py A- e-, A, <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 17, 1940 <br />g� 5:00 P.M. <br />` Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: L. C. Christensen, <br />H. 11. Edmonds, F. D. Granger, 14ayor H. F. Anderson, and City Clerk B. E. <br />I•Iyers; absent, Councilmen E. A. Fletcher and G. W. McNulty. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of June 3 were approved on motion of Council- <br />man Granger, seconded by Councilman Werder. <br />T. Louis Chess, Vice -Chairman of the Advisory Board of the California Safety <br />Council, in a commendatory talk, presented to the City a "Citation" for <br />the city's outstanding achievement in traffic accident prevention during <br />1939• Mayor Anderson thanked him and expressed the appreciation of the <br />Council. <br />Mrs. Rose Larkin was present and also represented by her attorney, Wayne Milling- <br />ton; she submitted letter protesting against the alleged unauthorized and <br />illegal building on the part of the Sadler Supply Company, 1550 El Camino <br />Real. Mr. Sadler said he had been given permission to locate the building <br />where it was being constructed, and the minutes of September 5, 1939, in- <br />dicated that permit had been given to extend "a building to the rear." <br />However, it was decided, on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Council- <br />man Edmonds, that the City Manager, the Fire Chief, and the Building Inspector <br />
