192 <br />Werder voting "No" <br />On motion of Councilman Edmonds, seconded by Councilman Granger, the Council <br />appropriated and ordered paid 050 for the American Red Cross. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEM: HAS <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 1, 1940 <br />5:00 P.M. <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: <br />City Clerk ' <br />L. C. Christensen, <br />H. W. Edmonds, F. D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder, Mayor H. F. <br />Anderson, and City Clerk B. E. Myers; absent, Councilman E. A. Fletcher. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of June 17 and adjourned regular meeting of <br />June 20 were approved on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Council- <br />man Christensen. <br />On motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Recreation <br />Fund Committee was given permission to run off a fireworks display on <br />July 4 from 3:00 to 11:30 P.M. at the Recreation Center grounds, applies- <br />. tion having been approved by the Chief of the Fire Department. <br />The Chamber of Commerce recommended that the following bills be paid and charged <br />to the city Advertising Fund: "Ba Photo Service, 03.61; Standard Printing, <br />$30.90; Redwood City Tribune, $3.61; Lamb's Orchestra, 035.00. ,Payment <br />was authorized on motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman <br />Werder. <br />Redwood Ice Delivery asked permission to remove their present automatic vending <br />machine -on Main Street and to substitute for it a smaller one, portable, <br />and of wood construction, approximately eight feet by sixteen feet. Per- <br />mission was given on motion of Councilman Edmonds, seconded by Councilman <br />Christensen, with the understanding that the permit be revocable at the <br />pleasure of the Council. <br />4 <br />
