1 222 <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING _ <br />REINOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 20, 1939 <br />9:00 P. M. <br />Upon roll call the following were present: Councilmen H. F. Anderson, E. A. Fletcher, R. <br />N. Jones, P. A. McCarthy, G. W. McNulty, Mayor L. C. Christensen, and City Clerk <br />B. E. Myers; absent, Councilman Wm. Hohn. <br />The minutes of the meeting of March 6 were approved on motion of Councilman Fletcher, <br />seconded by Councilman Anderson. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, it was decided to accept <br />the offer of Robert Cole to buy Lot 12, Block 9 in Range D, Mezesville, for $450 cash <br />and Lot 1 in Block 9, Range D, Mezesville, for $1450 with $50 payment and the balance <br />within six months. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Jones, the following resolution <br />was adopted: <br />11RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that where- <br />as on September 19, 1938, said Council by resolution adopted on said date <br />in conformity with Chapter 397, State Statutues of 1931 of the State of <br />California with amendments thereto, fixed the minimum compensation to be <br />paid for any skilled or unskilled labor for work to be performed in the <br />construction of Harbor Terminal Improvements and a Warehouse, Redwood <br />City, California, P.W.A. Project Calif. 1895-F. <br />NOW BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said resolution hereinbefore <br />referred to and adopted September 19, 1938, be amended by the addition <br />thereto of the following: <br />Trade or Occupation <br />Operators - Power Shovels or other <br />Excavating Equipment <br />Oilers - Power Shovels <br />Hourly Wage Per Diem <br />Rate Wage <br />$ 1.66 2/3 $ 13.33 <br />1.16 2/3 9.3�u <br />Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman McNulty, proposed the adoption of the following <br />resolution which was unanimously adopted: <br />"RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that where- <br />as 'on October 10, 1939, said Council by resolution adopted on said date <br />in conformity with Chapter 397, State Statutes of 1931 of the State of <br />California with amendments thereto, fixed the minimum compensation to <br />be paid for any skilled or unskilled labor for work to be performed in <br />the construction of improvements to City Hall, Redwood City, California, <br />P.W.A. Project Calif. No. 1991-F. <br />NOW BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said resolution hereinbefore <br />referred to and adopted October 10, 1939, be amended by the addition <br />thereto of the following: <br />Trade or Occupation <br />Operators - Power Shovels or other <br />Excavating Equipment <br />Oilers - Power Shovels <br />Hourly Wage Per Diem <br />Rate Wase <br />$ 1.66 2/3 $ 13.33 <br />1.16 2/3 9.322 <br />Operators - Concrete Mixer 1.25 10.00 <br />0 <br />
