j <br />The territory herein described and proposed to be annexed to the <br />City of Redwood City is known as the East Redwood City Industrial <br />District." <br />The bus committee requested further time to report. Mr. Lloyd L. Moore of <br />the Commuters Club spoke upon - the bus matter. <br />An ordinance of the City of Redwood City creating and establishing a personnel <br />system for said city was, upon motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded <br />by Councilman Edmonds, and carried, introduced. <br />A letter was received from Air. H. C. Munson relative to his purchase of Lot 51 <br />of the Reese Subdivision and the opening of Poplar Street which necessi- <br />tates the acquisition of two 25 foot lots, and upon.motion of Councilman <br />Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Granger, the City Manager was authorized <br />to get the price that these lots can be acquired for. <br />Letter received from the Planning Commission recommending the city authorize <br />the owner of Lots 3 and 4, Block 13, Oak Knoll Manor, to subdivide the <br />same into 6 lots as shown upon the sketch submitted with the letter. <br />1 <br />Upon motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded, by Councilman Christensen, <br />and carried, such permission was granted. <br />An ordinance adopting a plumbing code for the City of Redwood City was, upon <br />motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Granger, and <br />carried, introduced. <br />Quit claim deed to Lot 12 in Block 9, New High School Acres was received and <br />upon motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Granger, and <br />carried, accepted by unanimous vote of the Council with the exception of <br />Councilman Werder who had been excused from the meeting. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman IQcNult'y, and carried, <br />an ordinance licensing every kind of lawful business hereafter specified, <br />transacted, or carried on within the limits of the City of Redwood City, <br />County of San Mateo, State of California, fixing the rate of license tax <br />upon the same, and providing for a punishment for carrying on business <br />without a license, was introduced. <br />The departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />On motion of Councilman McPulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, and carried, <br />claims in the amount of $10,128.56 were ordered paid. <br />Adjournment. <br />i <br />Y <br />H.
