.230 <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY,COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 14, 1940 <br />8:00 P. M. <br />Upon roll call the following Councilmen were present: <br />L. C. Christensen, <br />H. W. Edmonds, E. A. Fletcher, F. D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, H. F. <br />Anderson. Absent, Councilman W. M. Werder and City Clerk B. E. Myers. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Edmonds, and carried, <br />r <br />Councilman Christensen was appointed Clerk_ pro tem. <br />Affidavit of C. H. Genochio in the matter of serving notice of this special <br />meeting on the members of the City Council was ordered filed. <br />On motion of Councilman Edmonds, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, and carried, <br />the following resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />"RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the <br />hereunto annexed easement dated the 7th day of October, 1940, and <br />made between Hollis Chenery Clark, the party of the first part, and <br />the City of Redwood City, the party of the second part, be and the <br />same is hereby accepted.by said City of Redwood City, and the Clerk <br />of said City is hereby authorized and directed to have said easement <br />recorded in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, <br />State of California." <br />The property is described, as being the northwesterly 4-1 feet of Lot 13, <br />Wooster,. Whitton & Motgomery Subdivision of a Part of the Redwood Farm. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, and carried, <br />the following resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />"RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that said City <br />accept the conditions set forth in a revocable permit granted by the <br />Federal Public Building Administration under date of August 15, 1940, <br />to the City of Redwood City to use for street and sidewalk purposes a <br />strip of land ten feet five inches in width along the entire frontage <br />of the Post Office site in Redwood City. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council'of the City of Redwood <br />City.that the City Manager of said City is authorized to sign on behalf <br />of said City the assenting to the conditions contained in said revocable <br />permit." <br />On motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, claims <br />in the amount of 01,760.70 were ordered paid. <br />Adjournment. <br />LCC:HAS <br />L.
