C U Upon the matter of the application of the Redwood Highlands Company to sub- divide Lots 1 to 9 both inclusive, in Block 2, Oak Knoll Manor and por- tions of Lots 16 and 18, Block, 2, Oak Knoll Manor, and which had hereto- fore been approved by the Planning Commission with the recommendation that building restrictions upon the new lots be not less than $4,000. On motion.of Councilman Edmonds, seconded by Councilman Werder, and carried, the application of the Redwood Highlands Company to subdivide said property hereinbefore mentioned according to their applications therefor was granted with the understanding that no building be constructed upon any, -of the resubdivided lots of a less value than $4,000. This had heretofore been agreed to by the Redwood Highlands Company in writing, as they have and will continue to place such a restriction upon each of said lots. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen, and carried, a claim of the Peninsula Advertising Company in the amount of $15, authorized by C. H. Holt, was ordered paid. On motion duly made by Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, and carried, the chief of the Fire Department of the City of Redwood City be authorized to take the fire equipment .of said city outside the limits thereof when he deems such action to be necessary. On motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Christensen, and carried, the Chief of the Fire Department of the City of Redwood City be authorized to employ any help necessary in an emergency within the limits of the City of Redwood City. In the matter of the annexation of certain uninhabited property belonging to Harry Friend and wife, the affidavit of 1 publication of the resolution giving notice of the proposed annexation of the territory described in said petition was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen, and carried, ordered filed. This being the time for hearing objections to the annexation of said territory described in said petition and in said notice so published as aforesaid, no objections by the owners of any property situated therein were made either in writing or orally, and said Council having acquired jurisdiction to proceed in said matter, on motion of Councilman Fletcher,,secondea by Councilman Christensen, and carried, an ordinance approving the annexation of the hereinafter described territory (commonly known as East Redwood City Industrial District) to the City of Redwood City was introduced.
