C <br />U <br />Upon the matter of the application of the Redwood Highlands Company to sub- <br />divide Lots 1 to 9 both inclusive, in Block 2, Oak Knoll Manor and por- <br />tions of Lots 16 and 18, Block, 2, Oak Knoll Manor, and which had hereto- <br />fore been approved by the Planning Commission with the recommendation <br />that building restrictions upon the new lots be not less than $4,000. <br />On motion.of Councilman Edmonds, seconded by Councilman Werder, and <br />carried, the application of the Redwood Highlands Company to subdivide <br />said property hereinbefore mentioned according to their applications <br />therefor was granted with the understanding that no building be constructed <br />upon any, -of the resubdivided lots of a less value than $4,000. This had <br />heretofore been agreed to by the Redwood Highlands Company in writing, as <br />they have and will continue to place such a restriction upon each of said <br />lots. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen, and <br />carried, a claim of the Peninsula Advertising Company in the amount of <br />$15, authorized by C. H. Holt, was ordered paid. <br />On motion duly made by Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, <br />and carried, the chief of the Fire Department of the City of Redwood City <br />be authorized to take the fire equipment .of said city outside the limits <br />thereof when he deems such action to be necessary. <br />On motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Christensen, and carried, <br />the Chief of the Fire Department of the City of Redwood City be authorized <br />to employ any help necessary in an emergency within the limits of the City <br />of Redwood City. <br />In the matter of the annexation of certain uninhabited property belonging to <br />Harry Friend and wife, the affidavit of 1 publication of the resolution <br />giving notice of the proposed annexation of the territory described in <br />said petition was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman <br />Christensen, and carried, ordered filed. <br />This being the time for hearing objections to the annexation of said territory <br />described in said petition and in said notice so published as aforesaid, <br />no objections by the owners of any property situated therein were made <br />either in writing or orally, and said Council having acquired jurisdiction <br />to proceed in said matter, on motion of Councilman Fletcher,,secondea by <br />Councilman Christensen, and carried, an ordinance approving the annexation <br />of the hereinafter described territory (commonly known as East Redwood City <br />Industrial District) to the City of Redwood City was introduced. <br />Z <br />
