4 <br />W <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permission for the use of the City <br />Hall for other occasional meetinge'shall be limited in addition to the <br />foregoing, to•organizations of a purely civic, non-profit and non- <br />, political nature and character, such as: The American Red Cross, Boy <br />Scouts of America, Chamber of Commerce, San Francisco Peninsula, Inc., <br />Community Chest, Veteran Groups, and other similar organizations, which <br />organizations shall make written application,to the City Council to <br />secure a permit for such occasional meetings." <br />Diagram of assessment district for the work done on Inner Circle under Resolution <br />of Intention No. 1940-3 passed and adopted by the Council of the City of <br />Redwood City on the 17 day of June, 1940, was presented, and the following <br />resolution was passed and adopted on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded <br />by Councilman Christensen. <br />"RESOLUTION APPROVING DIAGRAM OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT <br />UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1940-3, AND DESIGNATING NEWSPAPER <br />"RESOLVED by the Council of the -City of Redwood City, County of San <br />Mateo, State of California, that the diagram of the assessment district <br />under Resolution of Intention No. 1940-3, passed and adopted by the Council <br />of the City of Redwood City on the 17th day of June, 1940, as said diagram <br />has been prepared by,C. L. Dimmitt, City Engineer of said City of Redwood <br />City, and submitted this 4th day of November, 1940, be and the same is <br />hereby adopted as the diagram of the assessment district for the work de- <br />scribed in said Resolution of Intention,No. 1940-3, which Resolution of <br />Intention No. 1940-3 is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City <br />of Redwood City, and to which reference is hereby made for a description <br />of the work herein referred to; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, <br />County of San Mateo, State of California, that the Redwood City Tribune, a <br />daily newspaper published, printed and circulated in said City of Redwood <br />' City, be and the same is hereby designated as the newspaper in which to <br />publish the "Notice of Filing Street Assessment and of Time Fixed for <br />Hearing Thereon" for work done under said Resolution of Intention No. 1940-3 <br />of said Council hereinabove referred to herein." <br />0 <br />d <br />A report of the committee for opening a connecting street between Oak Avenue <br />,k <br />• and Redwood Avenue was continued to the November 18 meeting. <br />The departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Werder, and carried, <br />claims in the amount of $13,456.22 were ordered paid. <br />Adjournment. f <br />OWE :HAS <br />C..
