4 W AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permission for the use of the City Hall for other occasional meetinge'shall be limited in addition to the foregoing, to•organizations of a purely civic, non-profit and non- , political nature and character, such as: The American Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America, Chamber of Commerce, San Francisco Peninsula, Inc., Community Chest, Veteran Groups, and other similar organizations, which organizations shall make written application,to the City Council to secure a permit for such occasional meetings." Diagram of assessment district for the work done on Inner Circle under Resolution of Intention No. 1940-3 passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 17 day of June, 1940, was presented, and the following resolution was passed and adopted on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen. "RESOLUTION APPROVING DIAGRAM OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1940-3, AND DESIGNATING NEWSPAPER "RESOLVED by the Council of the -City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, that the diagram of the assessment district under Resolution of Intention No. 1940-3, passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 17th day of June, 1940, as said diagram has been prepared by,C. L. Dimmitt, City Engineer of said City of Redwood City, and submitted this 4th day of November, 1940, be and the same is hereby adopted as the diagram of the assessment district for the work de- scribed in said Resolution of Intention,No. 1940-3, which Resolution of Intention No. 1940-3 is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City, and to which reference is hereby made for a description of the work herein referred to; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, that the Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper published, printed and circulated in said City of Redwood ' City, be and the same is hereby designated as the newspaper in which to publish the "Notice of Filing Street Assessment and of Time Fixed for Hearing Thereon" for work done under said Resolution of Intention No. 1940-3 of said Council hereinabove referred to herein." 0 d A report of the committee for opening a connecting street between Oak Avenue ,k • and Redwood Avenue was continued to the November 18 meeting. The departmental reports were ordered filed. On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Werder, and carried, claims in the amount of $13,456.22 were ordered paid.
