i The following resolution was 'adopted on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded <br />{ by Councilman Christensen, and carried by unanimous vote. <br />"RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the First <br />National Bank of San Mateo County, a corporation, and the Redwood City <br />branches of the Bank of America National Trust and Savings Association, <br />E, a corporation, be and they are hereby designated as the depositories for <br />city funds." <br />The following resolution was adopted on motion of Councilman Edmonds, seconded <br />by Councilman McNulty and carried by unanimous vote. <br />"RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that C. W. <br />Eltringham, City Clerk and Treasurer of the City of Redwood City, <br />County of San Mateo, State of California, be and he is hereby author- <br />ized in conjunction with the Mayor of the City of Redwood City to sign <br />all warrants for -the payment of city moneys." <br />The following resolution was adopted on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded <br />by Councilman Christensen, and carried by unanimous vote. <br />"RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that C. W. <br />Eltringham, City Treasurer, and either H. F. Anderson, Mayor, or C. L. <br />Dimmitt, City Manager, shall have authority to enter the safe deposit <br />box of said city situated at the Bank of America National Trust and <br />Savings Association, branch bank, in Redwood City." <br />On motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Werder, the City <br />Attorney was instructed to cancel the surety bonds of former City Clerk <br />and Treasurer, B. E. Myers, and Acting Treasurer C. L. Dimmitt as of <br />November 19, 1940, and if possible to arrange for cancellation of the bond <br />' of the former City Clerk and Treasurer as at the date avA bond of C. L. <br />Dimmitt, Acting Treasurer, became effective. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Edmonds, and carried, <br />it was decided that hereafter all matters relative to insurance and surety <br />bonds were to be referred to the Insurance Committee designated by the <br />City Council. <br />City Manager C. L. Dimmitt was instructed to submit to the Council a written <br />statement showing the basis used in allocating the cost of construction <br />of sidewalks to the property in the Central Park area. <br />Bert Werder, County Fire Warden, asked permission of the Council to remove <br />existing sheds and for the construction of a temporary corrugated iron <br />shed on Marshall, between Jefferson Avenue and Middlefield Road, the shed <br />to be used for housing County owned fire equipment. Permission was un- <br />officially granted provided the structure would be removed when so directed <br />by the Council. <br />The subject of Christmas lighting was discussed, and on motion of Councilman <br />I� Granger, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, and carried, it was decided that <br />the tree located in the park at the goreof Broadway and Arch Streets be <br />included in the Christmas lighting program. <br />
