The approved claims, aggregating 030,336.90 were ordered paid on motion of <br />Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen, the <br />Council adjourned in respect of the late 0. K. Whittenberg, Trustee <br />of the Redwood City Library for a number of years. <br />OWE: HAS <br />C. W. Eltringham, Ci ialeikf- <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />DECF14BER 2, 1940 <br />5:00 P. M. <br />Upon roll call the following were present: Councilmen E. A. Fletcher, <br />F. D. Granger, G. W..McNulty, W. M. Werder, Mayor H. F. Anderson, and <br />City Clerk C. W. Eltringham; absent, Councilmen L. C. Christensen and <br />H. W. Edmonds. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of November 15, 1940, were, on.motion of <br />Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, approved as mailed. <br />It was decided, on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman <br />Granger, that due to the absence of Councilmen Christensen and Edmonds, <br />the matters of unfinished business relating to the James Harder chicken <br />ranch and the proposed ordinance regulating the keeping of chickens, goats, <br />etc., be laid over until the next meeting. <br />Carl (Ike) Britschgi, representing the Redwood City Lions Club, addressed the <br />council relative to the Outdoor Christmas Tree Contest sponsored by the <br />club. On motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman McNulty, <br />and carried, a contribution by the city to the contest in the amount of <br />$25 was approved. <br />The City Collector submitted the following letter: <br />"I submit herewith for your approval a proposed agreement <br />for purchase of a portion of Lot 26 of the Reese Subdivision <br />and Lots 17 to 24 inclusive in Block 1 of the Wallace Subdivision <br />by Emil G. Steinegger.' The total purchase price is $2600, of <br />which $260 has already been paid, the balance in 3 annual install- <br />ments as follows: 1st year $660, 2nd year $540, 3d and final pay- <br />ment $94-0." <br />, <br />l <br />1I <br />
