Granger, G. W..McNulty, W. M. Werder, Mayor H. F. Anderson, and City Clerk C. W. Eltringham; absent, Councilmen L. C. Christensen and H. W. Edmonds. The minutes of the regular meeting of November 15, 1940, were, on.motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, approved as mailed. It was decided, on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Granger, that due to the absence of Councilmen Christensen and Edmonds, the matters of unfinished business relating to the James Harder chicken ranch and the proposed ordinance regulating the keeping of chickens, goats, etc., be laid over until the next meeting. Carl (Ike) Britschgi, representing the Redwood City Lions Club, addressed the council relative to the Outdoor Christmas Tree Contest sponsored by the club. On motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman McNulty, and carried, a contribution by the city to the contest in the amount of $25 was approved. The City Collector submitted the following letter: "I submit herewith for your approval a proposed agreement for purchase of a portion of Lot 26 of the Reese Subdivision and Lots 17 to 24 inclusive in Block 1 of the Wallace Subdivision by Emil G. Steinegger.' The total purchase price is $2600, of which $260 has already been paid, the balance in 3 annual install- ments as follows: 1st year $660, 2nd year $540, 3d and final pay- ment $94-0." , l 1I
