<br />The City Attorney was instructed, on motion of Councilman Edmonds, seconded
<br />by Councilman Christensen, to endeavor to recover from the real estate
<br />agent, the amount of commission paid by the City in connection with the
<br />sale of Lots 19 and 20 in Block 14, Central Park, to C. H. Fritschen.
<br />A request from the Sheriff of the County of San Mateo for signs reading "No
<br />Parking Between Signs".in front of the County Jail was referred to the
<br />City Manager.
<br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen, the
<br />Mohawk Oil Company was granted a permit to construct a filling station
<br />at Vera and E1 Camino Real.
<br />Councilman,Christ.ensen and City Manager Dimmitt were granted permission to
<br />leave the State for a period of 30 days on motion of Councilman Fletcher,
<br />seconded by Councilman McNulty, and carried.
<br />On motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, Councilman
<br />Edmonds was granted a leave of absence and permission to leave the State
<br />for a period of 90 days, beginning December 25, 1940.
<br />Fire Chief Ryan and Building Inspector Duncan were, on motion of Councilman
<br />Granger, seconded by Councilman Werder, and carried, instructed to inspect
<br />the property at the southeast corner of Spruce and Main Streets and to
<br />report on the condition of the building at the next meeting.
<br />Departmental reports were ordered filed.
<br />Approved claims aggregating x$16,012.46 were ordered paid on motion of Council-
<br />man Edmonds, seconded by Councilman Werder.
<br />Adjournment to 11:OO,A. M. December 21,'1940, on motion of Councilman McNulty,
<br />seconded by Councilman Fletcher, and carried.
