28 <br />However, after considerable discussion, when the motion was put, it lost-- Councilmen <br />Fletcher and Anderson being the only ones voting for it. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, the•Clerk was asked to <br />write representatives in the state legislature to urge the adoption of Assembly Bill <br />2059 and Senate Bill 999 affecting the expenditure of County Gas Tax Funds. The <br />Clerk was also asked to call attention to the fact that the City of Redwood City did <br />not look with favor upon legislation creating any limitation of city expenditures. <br />The Clerk was also asked to convey to the League offices that the Council was generally <br />in favor of all recommendations made by the League. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Council— <br />man Jones. <br />Adjournment. <br />k �. %4so <br />City Clerk <br />I � I <br />
