I � I MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL APRIL 3, 1939 8:00 P.M. Upon roll call the following were present: Councilmen H. F. Anderson, E: A. Pletcher, Wm. Hohn, R. N. Jones, P. A. McCarthy, G. W. McNulty, Mayor L. C. Christensen and City Clerk B. E. Myers. The minutes of the meeting of March 20 were approved on motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman Hohn. There was submitted a petition by X. H. Morgan of 314 Grand Street in which the signers of the petition requested that that portion of Central Park bounded on the northwest by Katherine Street, on the southwest by Myrtle Street, on the southeast by Harrison Avenue, and on the northeast by Grand Street be rezoned and included in the first residential. district. The petition was referred to the Planning Commission. It was decided, on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, that the Building Inspector be instructed, pending action on the -petition by the Planning Com- mission, that no building permits be issued for this district except for single dwell- ing construction. Upon further consideration, it was decided to extend this district over to Jefferson Avenue. The City Tax Collector submitted the following letter: Authorization as requested was given on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McCarthy. 110n March 3, 1939, Mayor Christensen and City Manager Dimmitt recommended that the sum of $396.76 be accepted in settlement of the charges on the following property instead of $446.52 actually due if the total amount was paid in full. The delin- quent amount was $543.97 but the owner P. Bozzo has been paying in installments. The property referred to is Arbitrary Block 187, Lot 9 or legal description Lots 27-29, Resub. of Lot. 11, The Oaks, W. W. & M. Subdivision. Please con- firm the above authorization." The City Tax Collector submitted letter asking whether or not the penalties which had accrued on delinquent payment of John W. Manday for Lot 21, Block 7, Edgewood Park, should be waived. No action was taken, but it was the sense of the Council that the penalty be collected. There was submitted offer of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph L. Hansen to pay $350 for Lot 17 in Block 9, New High School Acres, with $20 down and the balance on or before October 1, 1939, with interest at 6%. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Anderson, it was decided to accept this offer, and the City Attorney was instructed to prepare the necessary papers and the City Treasurer authorized to nay the commission to L. A. Heiner, through whom the lot was sold. 2�
