1 <br />Harbor and was directed to leave.the plans with the City Manager. <br />At the request of Recreational Director Alfred Morton, permission was granted, <br />on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman McNulty, to .hold <br />a rodeo at Hawes Park on or about April 20, 1941. <br />The matter of berths at the Yacht Harbor and the collection of fees for berthage <br />of boats was discussed, and on motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by <br />Councilman McNulty, the City Attorney was directed to draw up rules for <br />regulation of berthage at the Yacht Harbor. <br />Reports from the Real Estate and Insurance Committees were ordered placed on <br />the agenda for the January 20, 1941, meeting. <br />On motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, and carried <br />by unanimous vote of the Councilmen present, the City was authorized to <br />acquire, for the purpose of opening a street between Oak and Redwood <br />Avenues, the easterly 60.57 feet of Lot 11 in the Reese Subdivision front- <br />ing on Redwood Avenue and 209.63 in depth and also the easterly 60.57 <br />feet of Lot 12 in the Reese Subdivision fronting on Oak Avenue and having <br />a depth of 199.63 feet, for the sum of $1700; and a 20 foot red rock <br />road be constructed thereon at a cost of approximately $600; and the <br />present property owners be granted immunity from assessments for street <br />improvements for a,periodl of five years; and the sum of $2300 required <br />for the above street be borrowed from the Water Fund of the City. <br />H. H. Weiner requested, that due to illness of his attorney, the matter of <br />James Harder's chicken ranch be laid over until the next meeting. Granted <br />on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />John W. Fickiesen of the Health Department explained that, with the exception <br />of two meetings, a representative of the Health Department has been <br />present at the meetings of the City Council. It wad suggested by Mayor <br />Anderson that, in the future, the member of the Health Department attend - <br />Ing the meetings of the Council leave his name with the City Clerk. <br />The proposed ordinance regulating the keeping of goats, chickens, etc., was <br />laid over until the next meeting. <br />Reports of the Chief of the Fire Department and Building, Inspector, expressing <br />the opinion that the building located at the southeast .corner of Spruce <br />and Main Streets (q@9 and assessed to Lille Kuck, 1014 <br />Guerrero Street, San Francisco, was a fire and life hazard and should <br />be removed, were read. On motion of.Councilman Fletcher,, seconded by <br />Councilman Werder, the City Attorney was instructed to take steps to have <br />the building abated. <br />9 <br />
