268 <br />at*the intersection of Hudson Street and Roosevelt Avenue for the purpose <br />of straightening Hudson Street at this point. <br />City Manager Dimmitt asked the Council for an opinion relative to licenses <br />for outside painting contractors doing work at the County Court House. <br />'On motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman McNulty and <br />carried, it was decided that such painting contractors were required to <br />pay the license fee as provided by ordinance. <br />In a letter addressed .to the Council, City Manager Dimmitt stated that request <br />had been.made by Floyd L. Baird for refund of deposit and subsequent <br />payments aggregating $175.00 in connection with and purchase of Lot 12, <br />x <br />Block 19 of Central Park. In view of the fact that payments were made <br />by Mr. Baird after the date the Planning Commission had declined to <br />recommend resubdivision of the parcel into three lots, no action was <br />taken and the request ordered filed. <br />Adjournment. <br />CWE:HAS C. M. <br />Upon roll call the following were present:* Councilmen L. C. Christensen, E. A. <br />Fletcher, F. D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder, Mayor Harold F. <br />Anderson and City Clerk C. W. Eltringham. Absent, Councilman H. W. Ed- <br />monds. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of January 20, 1941, and of the regular ad- <br />journed.meeting of January 24, 1941, were approved on motion of Councilman <br />Werder.,.seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />p <br />The City Collector.submitted the following letter: <br />"On January 28, 19412 City Councilman L. C. Christensen and City <br />Manager U. L.'Dimmitt recommended that the sum of four hundred dollars and <br />twenty-one cents ($J+00..21)be accepted in settlement of the charges on the <br />following property instead of four hundred sixty-nine dollars and twenty- <br />four cents ($469.24) actually due if the total amount was paid in full. <br />11The property referred to is Arb. Block 122, Lots 18-19 or legal <br />description Lots 31-32, Block 8, Central Park .assessed to C. T. Swanson � <br />and wife. <br />0 <br />
