Please confirm the above <br />authorization.11 <br />Authorization granted bn motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Council- <br />man Christensen and carried. <br />Miss Lilly Kuck addressed the Council in connection with a building owned"by her <br />in the vicinity of the intersection of Main Street and E1 Camino Real on <br />which abatement proceedings had been instituted. Miss Kuck explained that <br />she was desirous of improving the building and moving it to another loca- <br />tion on the property. On motion of Councilman'Fletcher, seconded by Coun= <br />cilman Werder, the affadivit of posting and mailing.notice of abatement <br />proceedings was ordered filed. It was further decided, on motion of Coun- <br />cilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Werder, that this matter be <br />continued to the next regular meeting,, at which time Miss Kuck was directed <br />to present to the Council plans of the proposed improvements and that the <br />City Building Inspector, Fire Chief, and Health Department reinspect the <br />premises and be in a position to report on the condition of the property <br />as at the date of the next meeting. Motion carried. <br />Mrs. R. L. Reiserer, 510 Roosevelt Avenue, asked what might be done to have side- <br />walks installed along Roosevelt. -Avenue. On motion of Councilman Granger, <br />seconded by Councilman McNulty and carried, the City Manager was directed <br />to make a survey and report at the next meeting. <br />The bus committee reported that Mr. R. F. Martin, owner and operator of the <br />Redwood City bus line, had submitted a proposition to undertake a schedule <br />providing for 30 minute service over the two routes which are at present <br />served hourly, and to provide a limited evening and early morning service. <br />In order to provide this new service, it will be necessary for Mr'. Martin <br />to acquire two new buses and as present revenue is inadequate to finance <br />this undertaking, he asked that the City underwrite, the venture to the <br />extent of an amount not to exceed $1800, payable $300 a month of the first. <br />two months of operation and $200 a month for the next six months; the City <br />to be reimbursed for such advances by receiving one-half of the profit from <br />{ the bus line until advances have been paid.
