Motibn_oarried. <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Werder, proposed the adoption of the <br />. following resolution providing for an election for the purpose of determining <br />whether or not the employees.of the City,shall be included.in the State Em- <br />ployees Retirement System; setting the -date of the,election of the employees <br />on March 10, 1941; providing the manner in which the election shall.be held <br />and appointing aboard of three members of the Council to canvass the returns <br />of said election. Carried by unanimous vote.of the Councilmen present. <br />RESOLVED by the council of the City of Redwood City that the following <br />regulations are hereby adopted for the purpose of determining whether or not <br />the employees of said city shall be included in the State Employees Retire- <br />ment System; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the election of said employees shall be <br />held on the 10th day of March, 1941.. The ballot at said election shall be - <br />a secret ballot, and the same shall be delivered personally by the Chief of <br />the Fire Department to all members thereof, and by the Chief of the Police <br />Department to all members thereof, and by a member of the miscellaneous group <br />to all members thereof.. , <br />. -Said ballots "shall be delivered ten (10) days before said day of elec- <br />tion and all ballots shall be delivered to the City Clerk of the City of <br />Redwood City on said 10th day of March, 191+1, between the hours of 9:00 <br />otclock A.M. and 5:00 o'clock P.M. of said day. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City .df Redwood <br />City does'hereby appoint as a Board to canvass -the returns of said election <br />the following three (3) members of said Council, to -wit: <br />Judge; E. A. Fletcher <br />Louis C. Christensen <br />W. M. Werder <br />This resolution is adopted in conformity with the law governing the <br />administration of the State Employees Retirement System. It <br />Approved claims aggregating $7,601.58 were ordered paid on motion of Councilman <br />McNultyy seconded by Councilman Granger. <br />Adjournment. <br />C. W.
