MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 3, 1941 <br />5:00 P. M. <br />Upon roll call the following were present: Councilmen L. C. Christensen, E. A. <br />Fletcher, F. D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder, Mayor H. F. Anderson, <br />and City Clerk C. W. Eltringham; absent, Councilman H. W. Edmonds. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of February 17, 1941, were approved on motion <br />of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />On.motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission was authorized to purchase playground equipment for <br />installation at the Yacht Harbor in the approximate amount of 0146.70; pay- <br />ment for same to be from the Special Recreation Fund. <br />The Parks and Recreation Commission was, on motion of Councilman Werder, see- <br />onded by Councilman Christensen, authorized to expend from the Special <br />Recreation Fund the sum of $50.00 to promote the support of Proposition <br />No. 3 on the ballot at the 'special election to be held on March 25, 1941. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the recom- <br />mendation of the Real Estate Committee to amend the present agreement <br />with local real estate brokers governing the rate of commission payable <br />on the sale of City owned lots was adopted. The real estate committee <br />recommended the adoption of a schedule providing a rate of commission <br />equal to five percent of the sale price of the lots with a minimum <br />commission of $50 in lieu of the present commission rate amounting to <br />ten percent of the sale price. <br />The request*of the City Collector for approval of sale of N. E. 39.11 feet <br />of Lot 14, Block 9, Eastern Addition, was read as follows: <br />"Manuel and Isabel Triano have purchased from the City of Redwood <br />City the N.E. 39.11 feet of Lot 14, Block 9, Eastern Addition, for the <br />sum of $750, making a deposit of 0105. They will pay $20 each month <br />at 6p.interest, payments to begin on April 19 1941. <br />"Please advise me if this meets with your approval.° <br />Authorization was granted on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by <br />Councilman Werder, and carried. <br />A letter from the San Mateo County Council, Boy Scouts of America, advising <br />that arrangements are being made to remove the "Sea Scout" boat in Berth <br />No. 31 at the Yacht Harbor was ordered filed. <br />A•letter from W. H. Sadler commending the Council for action taken in connec- <br />tion with certain old buildings in the city was ordered filed. <br />71. <br />E, <br />
