U <br />A resolution -accepting a deed to the northeasterly 60.57 feet, front and rear <br />measurements of Lot 11 as designated on the map entitled "Map of Reese Sub- <br />division of a part of the Redwood Farm". from C. G. Lambert and Lillie Belle <br />Lambert was adopted on motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Coundil- <br />McNulty and carried by roll call vote of the councilmen preseni,•and the City <br />Clerk was instructed to issue a check to the California Pacific Title & Trust <br />Co. in the amount of $650 in payment of the property. <br />Permission to conduct a used car lot at Railroad and Hamilton Streets was granted <br />to Bourquin Motor Co. on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman <br />Fletcher. <br />Application of N. J. Mangini to conduct a restaurant in the Locke Drug Store, <br />2432 Broad*xray, was approved on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by <br />Councilman Werder, and carried. <br />Application of Sam Caravelli for permission to conduct a restaurant at 2664 <br />Broadway was granted, subject to approval by the Health Department, on <br />motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen. <br />Mrs. R. L. Reiserer, 510 Roosevelt Avenue, presented petitions signed by 34 <br />pma.,�e;tt owners of property fronting on Roosevelt Avenue, between E1 Camino <br />Real and Dickey Street, requesting that sidewalks be constructed along both <br />sides of the portion of Roosevelt Avenue above described and that the'work <br />be done under °Improvement Procedure Ordinance No. 33311, and that serial <br />. <br />bonds bearing interest atthe rate of 6% per annum for a term of 5 years be <br />issued to cover the cost thereof. <br />Permission to use the Council Chambers'on Thursday evening, March 27, 1941, was <br />granted the San Mateo County Boy Scouts on motion of Councilman Fletcher, <br />seconded by Councilman Christensen. <br />Notices of Alcoholic beverage license applications to the State Board of Equali- <br />zation by Willie Williams, 2303 El Camino Real, and Robert L. Whitaker, 22 <br />Woodside Road, were ordered filed. <br />The matter of providing a crossing for school children on E1 Camino Real south <br />of Five Points was referred to the Chief of -police for investigation and to <br />report at the next meeting. <br />Departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />Claims aggregating $7,996.52 were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, <br />seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Adjournment. <br />CWE:MM <br />C—.W.
