F. Anderson, E. A. Fletcher, <br />Wm. Hohn, R. N. Jones, P. A. McCarthy, G. W. McNulty, Mayor L. C. Christensen, and <br />City Clerk B. E. Myers. <br />The minutes of the meeting of April 3 were, on motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded <br />by Councilman Jones, approved with corresponding paragraph changed to read as follows: <br />°In connection with the sale of lots, there ensued considerable discussion con- <br />cerning the desired procedure affecting brokers' commissions, down payments and <br />instalment payments. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded. by Councilmen <br />Anderson, it was decided as follows: A 5% commission with a minimum commission of <br />$25 provided the selling price be $100 or more; the down payment to be at least 10% <br />of the selling price with a minimum payment of $25; deferred payments to bear interest <br />at 6%; no purchaser to be given copy of agreement to purchase until 1/3 of purchase <br />price is paid to city." In approving this, Councilman Hohn voted "No". <br />It was decided, on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Hohn, that all <br />bids for purchase of lots must be written and delivered to the City Collector during <br />business hours and before 5 P.M. <br />There was submitted to the Council a petition to annex contiguous territory (2riendly <br />Acres district) to the City of Redwood City. The petition was ordered filed and <br />the hearing on the petition continued until the next meeting, and the clerk was in- <br />structed to ascertain whether or not there was a sufficient number of sir,natures on <br />the petition. <br />A petition was presented signed by property owners on Nevada Street requesting that pro- <br />ceedings be taken to pave Nevada Street between James Avenue and Brewster Avenue, <br />and %a:therine Street between Nevada Street and Myrtle Street.
