El� ': !; 2 , Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, proposed the adoption of a resolution ordering plans, profiles, detailed drawings, specifications, and ' map or plat of proposed Assessment District 1941-2 for the purpose of con- structing sidewalks on Roosevelt Avenue between El Camino Real and Dickey Street. Carried by unanimous vote of the councilmen present. I, Plans and specifications in connection with the above p:r op:osed Assessment Dis- trict No. 1941-2 were then submitted by the City Engineer and a resolution f } adopting said plans and specifications was approved on motion of Council- man McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen, and carried by unanimous vote. Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Werder, then proposed the adoption of a Resolution of Intention No. 1941-2. Motion carried by unanimous 41 vote of the councilmen present. F On motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, the City Mana- ger was directed to find ways and means to reconstruct the curb return on i the southeast corner of Hudson Street and Roosevelt Avenue. T The matter of adopting the new zoning ordinance was held over until the next meeting. x , Councilman Fletcher, seconded b Councilman Werder, p { y , proposed the adoption of Ordinance No. 453, An Ordinance of the City of Redwood City Authorizing a Contract Between City Council of City of Redwood City and the Board of Administration, California State Employees' Retirement System, Providing } for the Participation of Said Subdivision in Said State Employees' Re- tirement System, Making Its Employees Members of Said System. Carried by unanimous vote.of the councilmen present. The City Manager,in a letter addressed to the Council,submitted for approval the plans for widening of Jefferson Avenue between Broadway and Middlefield Road and the construction of paving at the intersection of Valota Road and Vera Avenue and asking authorization to advertise for bids as -soon as formal no- tice of approval by the State had been received. On motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Granger, the above plans were adopted and authorization to advertise for bids granted. A request from William Ludwig, 15k.5 Gordon Street, for special permit to continue the poultry business at the above address was referred to the Health De- partment. On motion of Oouncilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, a resolution urging the enactment of legislation Authorizing the State Department of Public Works and the California Toll Bridge authority to enter into negotiations for S acquisition by the State of San Mateo and Dumbarton Bridge was unanimously adopted.
