Carried by unanimous vote of the councilmen present. <br />I, <br />Plans and specifications in connection with the above p:r op:osed Assessment Dis- <br />trict No. 1941-2 were then submitted by the City Engineer and a resolution <br />f <br />} adopting said plans and specifications was approved on motion of Council- <br />man McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen, and carried by unanimous <br />vote. <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Werder, then proposed the adoption <br />of a Resolution of Intention No. 1941-2. Motion carried by unanimous <br />41 <br />vote of the councilmen present. <br />F On motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, the City Mana- <br />ger was directed to find ways and means to reconstruct the curb return on <br />i <br />the southeast corner of Hudson Street and Roosevelt Avenue. <br />T The matter of adopting the new zoning ordinance was held over until the next <br />meeting. <br />x , <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded b Councilman Werder, p <br />{ y , proposed the adoption of <br />Ordinance No. 453, An Ordinance of the City of Redwood City Authorizing a <br />Contract Between City Council of City of Redwood City and the Board of <br />Administration, California State Employees' Retirement System, Providing <br />} for the Participation of Said Subdivision in Said State Employees' Re- <br />tirement System, Making Its Employees Members of Said System. Carried <br />by unanimous vote.of the councilmen present. <br />The City Manager,in a letter addressed to the Council,submitted for approval the <br />plans for widening of Jefferson Avenue between Broadway and Middlefield Road <br />and the construction of paving at the intersection of Valota Road and Vera <br />Avenue and asking authorization to advertise for bids as -soon as formal no- <br />tice of approval by the State had been received. On motion of Councilman <br />Werder, seconded by Councilman Granger, the above plans were adopted and <br />authorization to advertise for bids granted. <br />A request from William Ludwig, 15k.5 Gordon Street, for special permit to continue <br />the poultry business at the above address was referred to the Health De- <br />partment. <br />On motion of Oouncilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, a resolution <br />urging the enactment of legislation Authorizing the State Department of Public <br />Works and the California Toll Bridge authority to enter into negotiations for <br />S <br />acquisition by the State of San Mateo and Dumbarton Bridge was unanimously adopted. <br />I <br />i <br />i <br />
