From these statements, it <br />appeared there was nothing further that the Council could do,and <br />the matter was ordered.dropped. <br />Councilman'Christensen and City Manager Dimmitt, members of the real es <br />4 <br />tate committee, asked that the matter relative to F. H. A. appraisals <br />of property in .Redwood City be continued to the next meeting when a <br />written report would be submitted. <br />On motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, the <br />City Treasurer was instructed to transfer the sum of $990.00 from <br />unbudgeted reserve to the Redwood City Library. <br />The resignation of Robert Littler, member of the Board of Review, which <br />was held over from the last meeting, was,on motion of Councilman <br />Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, accepted with regret as <br />of May 31, 1941. <br />Mr. 0. Hedahf, 220 Oak Avenuey: addressed the Council in protest of the <br />street to be opened between Oak and Redwood Avenues, the basis for <br />his objection was that his property would be directly opposite the <br />end of this street and lights of approaching automobiles would re- <br />flect into his house with considerable annoyance to the occupants. <br />It was explained to Mr. Hedahl the purpose of opening this street <br />was for police and fire protection in the vicinity and that the <br />City has already acquired land for this purpose and that the possi- <br />ble advantages of the street would more than offset the inconvenience <br />it may cause. <br />The request of Cal Bunyard for permission to conduct dances in his place <br />on Woodside Road was, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by <br />Councilman Fletcher, ordered held over until such time as Mr. Bun- <br />yard, who was not present at this meeting would present the "letter <br />of apology" from the State Board of Equalization as he suggested at <br />i the last meeting. <br />The matter of flood conditions on Oxford Street and elsewhere within the <br />city was held over until the first meeting in June at which time the <br />City Manager would be able to present his report. <br />In connection with the Clean -Up Campaign Committee, Mayor Anderson stated <br />t <br />he had mailed letters to various organizations in the City asking <br />
