11 <br />E <br />Y - <br />1 <br />that they name two members who would serve on the committee and this <br />matter would again be taken up at the first meeting in June. <br />City Attorney Mansfield advised in connection with the matter of taxes <br />paid by Redwood City taxpayers for the support of the County Free <br />Library, the cities of ban Mateo and Burlingame were not paying this <br />tax and he endeavored to communicate with Mr. Dan Sullivan of the <br />District Attorney's office for suggestions relative to the procedure <br />required to eliminate the tax in Redwood City, but so far had not been <br />able to do so. Councilman Fletcher., seconded by Councilman Granger, <br />offered a motion directing the City Attorney to proceed in this mat- <br />ter without delay and, if legal, to take such action as may be neces- <br />sary to have this tax dropped from the county rolls. Motion carried. <br />The City Attorney presented proposed amendments to Ordinance No: 451 (Ani- <br />, , <br />mal, Fowl Ordinance), but at the request of Mr. Nordstrand and Mrs <br />Ginannini the matter was continued until the next meeting, and the <br />r <br />Attorney was directed to send a copy of the proposed amendments to <br />each member of the Council and to Mr. Nordstrand and Mr. Ginannini. <br />This being the time set for public hearing on Resolution of Intention 1941-2 <br />R <br />(Roosevelt Avenue Sidewalks), and there being no objections either <br />written or oral, the affidavits of the posting of.notices and of publi- <br />cation were ordered filed.
