312 <br />I <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />PTAY 19, 1941 <br />8:00 P, M. <br />Upon roll call the following were present: Councilmen L. C. Christensen, <br />E. A. Fletcher, F. D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder, Mayor <br />H. F. Anderson, and City Clerk C. W. Eltringham; absent, Councilman <br />H. W. Edmonds. Also present were City Manager C. L. Dimmitt., City <br />Attorney Albert Mansfield, City Collector Nelle L. Miramontes, Chief <br />of Police C. L. Collins, Chief of Fire Department M. E. Ryan, Building <br />Inspector L. M. Duncan, Park Superintendent Roger Walsh, and Health <br />Department representative W. E.. Smith. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of May 5, 1941, were approved on motion <br />of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Christensen. <br />Perry A. Bygdnes, Chairman of the Housing Authority of the County of San <br />Mateo, presented a resolution authorizing a survey of housing condi- <br />tions in the City of Redwood City, which was unanimously adopted on <br />motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Granger; [Coun- <br />cilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, then proposed the <br />adoption of a resolution authorizing the Mayor and City Manager to <br />execute a co-operation agreement with the County Housing Authority. <br />Carried by unanimous vote of the Council present. <br />The matter of the franchise for the Redwood City bus line was, on mo- <br />tion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Granger, held <br />over until the next meeting. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Werder, permis- <br />sion was given the Redwood City Church of Latter Day Saints to hold <br />a rummage sale at 945 M�.in Street on May 28, 29, and 31. <br />Permission was granted Mr. LeFurger, on motion of Councilman Fletcher, <br />seconded by Councilman Christensen, to move the Redwood Villa Tract <br />office from its present location on Center Street to a position on <br />E1 Camino Real, and to re -locate the present sign facing F.1 Camino <br />Real; said permission to expire in one year and the re -location of <br />the office and sign to be under the supervision of the Building In- <br />spectar. <br />Request of Mr. Welch for permission to construct a frame building on the <br />West side of El Camino Real, between Broadway and Brewster, in lieu <br />of the type required -in the first fire zone, was referred to the <br />Building Inspector. <br />4 <br />LO <br />
