3*5 <br />Villa Homestead, being a Re-subdivision of Part of Lot <br />No. 3 and Lot No. 5 of the Wooster,17hitton & Montgomery <br />Subdivision of a Portion of the Redwood Farm", recorded <br />June 17, 1908, in Book 6 of Maps at Page 21, in the Re- <br />corder's office, San Mateo County, State of California; <br />thence from said point of beginning along said southeast <br />line of Lincoln Avenue south 14140 30' west 1148.47 feet to <br />the end thereof as shown on said map; thence leaving said <br />southeast line of Lincoln Avenue and running along the <br />southwest line thereof north 450 27' west a distance of <br />60 feet as shown on said map; thence leaving said south- <br />west line of Lincoln Avenue and running along the north- <br />west line thereof north 44140 30' east a distance of 1148.147 <br />feet to an intersection with the southwest line of said <br />Gerwin Avenue (now known as Hudson Street); thence south- <br />easterly across said Lincoln Avenue south 1450 27' east <br />60 feet to the point of beginning. <br />All the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an <br />ordinance of the City of Redwood City entitled "Ordinarc e No. 333", <br />passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the <br />114th day of March, 1932, and commonly known as "Redwood City Improve- <br />ment Procedure Ordinance° which ordinance is now on file in the office <br />of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City and to which reference is <br />hereby made and the same is made a part hereof. <br />AND 7YEREAS, said Council, in and by said Ordinance of Inten- <br />tion No. 1939-1, did declare that it is unnecessary to take any <br />lands for the work of closing the said hereinbefore mentioned proper- <br />ty and that it is unnecessary to levy any assessments to provide <br />for the closing of the hereinbefore described property. <br />AND WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Redwood <br />City did, after the passage of the said Ordinance of Intention No. <br />1939-1, caused notices of the passage thereof to be duly posted as <br />required by law, as appears from the affidavit of C. L. Dimmitt, <br />ii <br />Street Superintendent, now on file in the office of the Clerk of <br />the City of Redwood City, to which reference is hereby made and the <br />` same is made a. part hereof. <br />AND WHEREAS, after the passage of said Ordinance of Intention <br />No. 1939-1, the Clerk of the City of Redwood City caused said Ordi- <br />nance of Intention No. 1Q39-1 to be -published twice in the Redwood <br />City Tribune, a daily newspaper of general circulation published, <br />printed and circulated in said City of Redwood City, as appears <br />from the affidavit of Bernice Gardner, now on file in the office of <br />the Clerk of said City of Redwood City. <br />AND WHEREAS, at the time -fixed for hearin- objections or pro- <br />tests to the closing of the hereinbefore described property as a <br />public street and highway, no protpsts of any kind were made and <br />I said Council now having acquired jurisdiction thereon, <br />AND WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City has de- <br />termined and does hereby determine that no further proceedings are <br />necessary or pro-per in the premises and that no damage will result <br />to any one by the closing of the hereinbefnre described property <br />and that the closing is and will be for the public interest and <br />benefit and that said hereinbefore described property should be <br />abandoned, closed and vacated as a public street and highway. <br />N017 THERE5ORE, it is by the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City resolved and determined that the following described. property <br />be vacated and closed as a public street and highway, to=wit: <br />Beginning at the point of intersection of the southwester- <br />ly line of Gerwin Avenue (now known as Hudson Street) <br />with the southeast line of Lincoln Avenue as said Avenues <br />are shown on that certain map entitled, "Geo. H. Gerwin's <br />Oak Villa Homestead, being a Re-subdivision of Part of <br />Lot No. 3 and Lot No. 5 of the Wooster, Whitton & Mont- <br />gomery Subdivision of a Portion of the Redwood Farm", re- <br />corded June 17, 1908, in Book 6 of Maps at Page 21, in <br />the Recorder's office, San Mateo County, State of Cali- <br />fornia; thence from said point of beginning along said <br />
